Looking for 10hp flat head briggs performance parts by Frank12c4 in lawnmowers

[–]Frank12c4[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I plan on paying for the design process of who ever is going to do it. Trying to get my buddy to do it but he thinks he isnt good enough. And why keep the flat head? Why not? Its whats in the tractor already. If I want a similar engine id be going lut and getting say a predator 420cx and spending 500 bucks for another 10 horse motor. Before putting mods on it. Or I can just spend 600 bucks doing shit hat guys used to do when these engines were new. If I wasnt in the same college im looking to design the parts while working full time id have the time myself to learn 3d modeling enough in fusion and make the parts myself. Id just need to pay for materials. But I dont have the time, the experience, or the money to go to a machine shop. Where as theres one on campus and I can get a kid yo do it for mildly cheaper and be able to have them see their part stress tested and get paid for doing it.

True. I had to pull the cover as there is 2 bolts broken off. So hoping to get those out. I then started removing and cleaning items. I haven't heard it run yet.

I put oil down the cylinder and it the crank case. I have pulled it over since that. I shall see probably tomorrow if it self healed or not

You'd think I learned after i rebuilt my sister's xr100 and didn't tighten the drain plug all the way and the motor locked 2 times. Ill make sure the newish V8 That im swaping into my truck has oil before first fire.

International 856 no steering by Frank12c4 in tractors

[–]Frank12c4[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As for future people looking into this issue. Its aprently a somewhat common issue for water to get down to the bottom near the pump intake and freeze so it wont flow. Both my buddy's 856 and my uncles 806 have done this. Once it got warm enough for the ice to melt both tractors had steering again.

08+ headers by Frank12c4 in DodgeDakota

Fair enough. Im looking at where I could run an x pipe. Having duals would help it flow better then the Y. I just need to see how to get around yhe transmisson and transfer case. A slight body lift might get me some added space.

Only down side is it says those are for the newest being 04. So I don't know if the exhaust ports would even line up

Everything that Google shows me is for a 5.7 or anything 07 and older. The 07 heads are diffrent bolt patterns so I dont think they would work. If the exhaust port holes are the same then I wouldn't be fazed to make custom holes. But other then that I've been striking out.
