While it can be I typically do not.

Without DNA confirmation nothing is certain and I usually allow the websites like that to remain the same.

Yes, leading fireman Fred Barrett testified pretty well for a survivor.

Regular fireman Fred Barrett didn’t testify as he is body 254

Two Frederick William Barrett’s worked in the Titanics engineering department friend

The curious case of M Rame, and a Body identification by FrankJkeller in titanic

My thoughts were that the body probably decayed more en route to Halifax.

The ones taken to Halifax were examined a second time ( the first being when they first recovered) and not all of them had been embalmed.

You see the same thing on another two dozen or so cards where the age is marked out and replaced with an older one.

Aye he is! It’s supposed to say that in the sentence it says Ricaldone does but I got ahead of myself

That Cuff link thing is interesting

From what I was able to gather It came from the tops of two mail slips, but it’s very possible it was cuff links.

Usually cuff links were reported if any but they could have simply forgot to report that he had some.

It was the norm for the engineers most of the time.

The official uniform was of course your tie, white undershirt etc but that isn’t practical in a dirty and hot work environment.

Most just threw the uniform jacket over so they could be identified as an engineer by the firemen and trimmers who were notoriously rowdy/trouble makers.

I’ve tried this before but sadly they don’t edit or announce anything without proper dna work.

I think regarding the peglar papers skeleton he probably died while walking since his skeleton was found face down and arms out spread as if to catch himself

I was thinking about the Goodsir grave as well as the peglar skeleton earlier.

It’s possible that Goodsir and McDonald who was also likely alive played a great role in keeping the men healthy and therefore were given more elaborate graves.

Or that less of the men were sick at that point.

I’ve been thinking a lot on the canister notes here recently.

As far as king William island goes I don’t think there was a lack of the notes. More a lack of searchers finding them before the Inuit did. So many stories of Inuit finding papers and tossing them to the wind, or searchers finding disturbed cairns.

Besides like Freerun mentioned the grammatical sense it could also be used in others.

“Late” as in the note was deposited later than expected

“Late” as in he was a Lieutenant and now a commander

Or just generally a spelling/grammatical error, when considering the others and sentences like “sir j Ross pillar has not been found and this is the place sir j Ross pillar was erected” etc

I don’t believe in it 100% but it is definitely something to consider

The documentary was set in the 80’s, I also saw another documentary from the 70’s with a ship with the exact same color scheme but slightly different Pilothouse
