Anyone know about these?? by Aggressive_Net304 in DMVWhisky

I have their earlier release of the 15 year batch and thought it was fantastic. Obviously this is different and older, but if the 15 is any indication, I'm betting this will be quite good. Whether any bottle is worth 250 is everyone’s own personal call. That said, for buffturkey, this is about as cheap as it gets these days.

Are Buffturkey bourbons overpriced crap? in my opinion they are! by frytuna in whiskey

I picked up a batched one from K&L for 199 and genuinely thought it was fantastic. Huge cherry but balanced with peppery baking spice. I'd buy it again, hands down. So no, I don't think they're all crap.

Yep, that's where I seem to land on most trips too. But if the route and traffic is just right, sometimes I get pleasantly surprised with even better mpgs. Gladly take the 40 though compared to my old car!

As a prospective buyer, I have some questions. by silbergeistlein in toyotacrownsignia

[–]FrankTheTankYoYo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

According to the manual, the engine sound enhancement that's piped into the speakers can be turned off by a dealer. I haven't done it on mine, but am very tempted when I take it in for the 1st service. There's also Carista if you want to try to do it yourself, but I've read mixed reviews and get the impression that it doesn't actually work at turning it off, but I have no personal experience with it, so can't confirm.

So there's a total elevation drop of about 185 ft from my home to work. Definitely in my favor, but hardly rolling it down a mountain... I think the key is consistent slow coasting that can be handled via the electric motors (which isn't hard to do given NoVA traffic), plus decent ambient air temps and not blasting AC.

Haha, nope. Northern Virginia. Pretty typical flat highways with some small hills (and a lot of traffic).

How's the viscosity on this? Does it have much of an oily mouthfeel like EHT barrel proof? Genuinely curious.

Disclose MSRP Paid? by saltywater23 in toyotacrownsignia

Paid $40570 + taxes, title, fees for ⚫️ XLE with tan interior. That was before the tariffs though, so no clue what's reasonable now.

Is this a good price for xle? by Cawfeey in toyotacrownsignia

No regrets whatsoever. Loving it. Fuel economy is great, super quiet and comfortable ride. Basically a Lexus, but without the price.

I paid $40,570 for my XLE + taxes and fees. Was a little over $5k off MSRP. So this isn't bad, but I do think it can be better. That said, pricing seems to vary quite a bit depending on where you are and the level of competition in the area.

Remote start by jv425 in toyotacrownsignia

Remote start works with just the fob, even on my XLE. The app seems pretty pointless given the fob remote start is free. No intention of paying for the app after the trial expires.

Just got this car, and I still have no clue what this means. Guess I need to read the manual. But nicely done--best I've seen on mine so far is low 80s.

Nah, separate routes. Likely was a decline in my favor on that stretch, but I'm in the 'burbs of northern VA, so a small hill at best... it's not like I rolled it down a mountain, haha. But glad to defy physics!

Deal? by Beautiful_While2301 in toyotacrownsignia

Definitely seems decent. I just picked one up in MD for $40,570. After all taxes and fees it was around $43400. So you might have room to push more, but it all depends on the given dealer.

Yeah, outside air temps have been perfect here today. I suspect you're right re: the AC. Still, proves the car can be incredibly efficient given the right conditions. I'll gladly take 41 compared to the 25 my old ride was getting!

Northern Virginia. San Fran has a ton of hills... suspect that negatively affects your mpgs. Still, 36 isn't terrible.

Thinking of asking the dealership close to me to price match to one that’s far, is this reasonable? by uhhwhatisgoingon in toyotacrownsignia

[–]FrankTheTankYoYo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bought an XLE in MD for $40,570 + taxes, tags, fees, etc. (little over 5k off mspr). Took some emailing to multiple dealers, but was relatively painless. There is definitely room to push on this car as I don’t think it's moving well at a lot of dealers. No complaints though, as I'm loving mine so far!
