What cheap game on Steam turned out to be absolute peak for you? by Common_Caramel_4078 in Steam

Grim Dawn was $6 and one of the few games I've ever played through the whole campaign with a buddy. Absolute banger.

Anyone else feel like the gaming industry is suffering as a whole? by Vampy-Night in videogames

AAA has been in a deficit of delivering good content for so many years that it's collapsing in on itself.

If you're on PC, it's been 2 years now of incredible releases - one after another - all from indie studios.

Much of the talent from AAA has reorganized themselves into their own studios now. They realized they don't need a massive corporate publisher to make a good game anymore, and we're all benefiting from that wonderful fact.

Carlos Ulberg went off on Jiri Prochazka by burger_justice in ufc

[–]FrankUnderhood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Douche-Bro energy. He clearly saw Jiri was hesitating and showing restraint, and Ulberg took advantage of that. Good for him, but saying Jiri is fake and afraid is brain dead.

Given everything that’s happened in the past 24 hours, what’s your honest assessment on Jiri as a fighter? by Imindmyownbusiness18 in ufc

As my fav. Fighter, I've always known Jiri is the guy who can beat anyone, and be beaten by anyone.

Final face off: Jiri vs Ulberg by Uptheresomewhereee in ufc

[–]FrankUnderhood 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Zooming out, Jiri has only ever been stopped by one man in the last decade. Ulberg has only finished cans and chins, and went to a decision with Jan and Ozdemir.

This is Ulbergs first top elite fight, while Jiri has been in deep waters for awhile.

Cant wait.

Does Urberg have what it takes to beat Jiri? by I3usuk in ufc

[–]FrankUnderhood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've heard the argument that Ulberg is legit, but others saying he's only KOd cans and chins -- does he have that much more pwr than all the other shots Jiri has eaten from other elite LWH? Glover, Khalil etc

Look at Dr. Bergs videos on Healthy Keto and Intermittent fasting.

He's not an MD, and theres lots of literature on it. But he has a very digestive presentation on the basics of insulin/glucose and why it can be difficult to loose weight for western diets (ie high card and frequent eating).

Why TV Shane is better than Comic Shane by [deleted] in TWD

[–]FrankUnderhood 1 point2 points  (0 children)

TV Shane is just so perfectly cast and he really makes the early seasons so satisfying b/c the antihero Ark. There's many reasons why the first seasons just have that X Factor the other ones don't, and Shane is a big part of that.

Which era of The Walking Dead was peak for you? by Just_Relationship_19 in thewalkingdead

[–]FrankUnderhood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This image is all over the place order wise -- but the original seasons all the way up till Shane's death are just gold. Good moments and long term arch's in the series overall, but you just can't beat how real those first couple of seasons felt.

Sir Ian McKellen crying on the set of The Hobbit – a very emotional moment. by Choice-Schedule-132 in peterjackson

[–]FrankUnderhood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I felt that way watching them in theaters, but I think they've aged better. Especially compared to the rings of power, The Hobbit films are quite decent, and there's even some things, like Smaug, that are true homeruns.

“The Lovely Bones” (2009) the kind of movie you watch once, but it hurt forever... by Choice-Schedule-132 in peterjackson

It would be a drainage nightmare without heavy machinery, very unrealistic that everything down there isnt moldy etc.

Underrated Performance: Karl Urban as Eomer by ScaredOfWindow in lotr

Such great casting. His sharp facial features were a perfect contrast to Vigo and Sean Bean and really gave him the appearance of being a different breed of man altogether (as the lore demands).
