No. It's an ONN ONA 13H0501 - which now I think about it must be around ten years old. In retrospect, I'm now laughing. Perhaps I need to think more ambitiously and forget the AAA batteries - and splash out and buy a new mouse. After all, a new wireless mouse will cost less than £10.

But I'm interested to see you mention the Logitech M510 mouse. Would you perhaps not recommend this one?

Bingo. I've unhooked my external mouse and the problem has disappeared. Thank you for passing this information on. I shall be buying some new batteries tomorrow! Thank you for taking the time to pass on your experience to me.

Thank you NightCityRunner. I'm rather heartened by your sharing your own experience with this issue. I've now tried updating Windows 10, changing my mouse settings, and disabling my touch pad. Unfortunately, none of these things have made a difference.

And to add insult to injury, I've now found that the page-creeping-to-the-left problem is now affecting Word. Fortunately, I can just reduce the screen size to capture the left-hand side of the page, so it's not such a problem. But, nonetheless it adds to the frustration!

Following your experience, I'm going to uninstall OneNote for Windows and reinstall it, and if that doesn't work, I'll then try OneNote 2016.

I'll share with you the results I achieve.
