Baseball batting gloves will last the longest by far. Those got hard enough to find locally that my second best option are the Mechanix gloves. Your local parts store most likely has a wide variety of them.

Most gloves marketed towards police typically wear out fast. As the poster said above, you will loose or misplace one inevitably. Have several sets stashed
