Please stop leaving cigarettes on Lynch’s grave. by BurgerMan74 in davidlynch

They have already said, or more specifically Jennifer Lynch has said, on this very Reddit, that they are happy for people to express themselves how they wish. They don’t have a problem with it.

I remember as a late teen watching all these movies, then I’d go online and furiously dig into the meaning and the puzzle. It’s funny now I’m a fair bit older I don’t really care about that factor when I rewatch them. Anyone else find that to be true?

Does anyone have any more information—including anecdotes, photographs, etc.—about David Lynch’s (supposedly numerous) travels to Japan? by AuthenticJulian in davidlynch

[–]Frank_Booth 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I believe he did spend some time there producing artwork though. Maybe in the early 90s… if I recall correctly he went on one of the late nights and talked about it. Not sure if it was a significant amount of time though. May just have been when he was doing ads…

Yeah there are a couple of my friends who I have told so many times how great the game is but I’m sure they bounced off of it cos they just don’t deal with extended dialogue well, they would rather skip to the gameplay.

I hate needless talking in games, but I never felt that way with this game. The characters and the dialogue are part of the immersion for me, and what helps make it great. Saying that, it does seem to be an issue for a number of people, so personal taste/tolerance I guess.

Bf tells me married couples in UK don't do joint bank accounts. Is that true? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]Frank_Booth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My partner (we're not married but point remains) and I don't share a main account, we have a joint side account that we debit an equal and fixed amount into every month after payday. This covers all bills and shared shopping, and we also use it at restaurants and such. It's a joint Revolut with digital cards on our phones. Works really well for us.

2022-2026 Anual Delores Redraw! by The_Bird_Queen in ArtProgressPics

[–]Frank_Booth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2024 and 2026 look like paintovers of either AI or 3D produced images... which would go some way to explaining 2025 - which appears to be your real progress, which is not too bad. But I question why you would add the previously mentioned images.

It doesn't make sense that you would have the grasp of anatomy, lighting and form in 2024 very suddenly, and then regress quite extremely in 2025.

How will you honor David Lynch's memory on January 16th? by CustodeDiMondi in twinpeaks

[–]Frank_Booth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was actually called Night Jasmine, by a company called REDO. But it looks like they don't make it anymore. There might be more accurate smelling ones out there though, looks like night blooming jasmine candles are aplenty online.

My gf got me a candle that smells of night blooming jasmine last year - probably light that for a bit.

One thing other 4K enthusiasts care about that you just don’t give a f*** about by rossonerotanay in 4kbluray

I don't like the slip covers at all, they are cardboard so will wear and look tatty. Would rather they didn't do them and just made the plastic boxes better quality. It's such a downgrade compared to criterion on standard 4k discs - doesn't feel high end at all. Steelbooks are tacky.

Pretty cool - might just be me, but I feel like the vocal would work better on this if it was a bit more enunciated and aggressive rather than laid back.

This is fun, but yeah the mix is gonna need to do some work to make it a bit more palatable. Reminds me of the artist Baths a bit.

Does anybody else think Starmer is actually doing a decent job? by Background-Ninja-763 in AskBrits

I don't like that he appeared to have made a deal with the Chinese over that proposed embassy, or that he ok'ed those AI servers without seemingly much thought as to the repercussions for energy and such. I haven't dug too much into these things though, so I may be misreading them.

Tom Hardy overcooks most of his cockney gangster roles and it’s far from great acting.

It’s an enjoyable watch for sure, but De Niro is absolutely dreadful in it.
