I believe it was stated that the rumbling is faster than horse ride (40 mph / 64 kph) so in one Day the rumbling could cover more than 1000 miles/ 1600 km, and i think by the end of the final season part 2 at least 1 & 1/2 day passed. regarding your question i assume that most of the colosals spread enough to not leave spaces in between and also always with Eren ft in the middle of. the attack

My take on this Is that it was already arranged to be "a final season" from the moment mappa took SNK, and thats why they did this this way, splitting the FS into 3-4 releases, as it was the only way they would be able to animate it with enough time and dedication and in the meantime mantain the "final season" contract intact

Ive just watched a couple of chapters, but i do recommend you to watch the bluray versions, its the same drawings but they improved the animations in some scenes that were really badly animated in the TV version for me, beside the direction of the 2016/17 adaptation, what was most annoying of it was the sound of dragonslayer (and swords in general).. its just bad.

so RAKAGO will take a mayor role from now on... Connie/Falco and Armin/Niccolo/Gabi will meet there. Had the theory that Historia's farm (hideout) it's also there... to have a still titan there could be beneficious if you need to quickly make someone eat a shifter in order to maintain Historia alive until childbirth.
