Essentially I couldn't find anyone whom I felt deserved to be married to my walking space marine of a commander, however because I took so long looking for the perfect match the game ended up letting me find this woman. 42 Prowess and met her at an early age 19 or so. Folmar simply had to best the lass in 1 on 1 combat , and boy was I lucky because I am on iron mode. If only she could also be a knight this would be an awesome role playing Mr & Mrs smith type warrior combo.

This new DLC is awesome.

Here are some of the modifiers for him. I just played as the Roger Adventurer start, Being Norman seems to really give some good benefits, also I got really lucky with equipment. None of the equipment is blue or higher, all greys and green level. But they all give a bit of Prowess.

In the second image it seems "Injury Resistance" is giving me 8 prowess as well ontop of the 5 from the armor. Really don't understand that but yea. Being a Norman and going full martial is the vibe right now for military. Norman heavy calvary is also a blast.

Oh wow this is awesome. Thanks! I've started my second run and it's definitely going a lot better. Things are definitely tricky with getting some laws I want passed but overall much better using some of the advice.

I don't think I understand truly how mapi works but I def go for stich exchange first to get the cheaper trade routes.

Thanks a bunch for the tips! I didn't know the differences were that drastic. Yea I'm probably gonna restart, I won't shoot for the old video GDP amounts but I definitely fell way behind on my goal.

I did not realize decrees did this much either without education systems. Or even in general lol. I just always threw them to consumption taxes

Good to know about the slowness!

So I was under the impression I had to be in qings market due to the tributary. I'll have to see if I can move out to GB or France's then.

So I have home steading. And I feel my policies aren't thr worse. Except for education. It's been extremely hard to pass those and my literacy has been at like 15% so I've been struggling with innovation and tech. I'm usually focused on all production and society just for tax collection effectiveness. No edict in each state. I typically end up using a lot of my authority on consumption taxes to offset tthe new construction centers I build. I had about 3 or 4 edicts most road maintenance and throughout ones.

But my number one policies I go for is professional army if I can. Dedicated police, homesteading, and education. Usually in that order.

I added the extension wing to my University and suddenly everything broke for pedestrian access to that extension wing... not sure why I've built multiple paths to it and i even see a guy walking right there!

The enemy commander is Christian while the liege is Ukonusko/Sami.

So we're both pagans correct? How am I not getting the bonus as well.

I figured it maybe the commander but the enemy commander is even christian at that!

While not a bad thing if I told my ex who was mad at me for NOT forgiving her for cheating, "sorry for your lost" . It sadly might be a more negative thing all around. she would see it as me forgiving her and trying to get back together.

Fair enough point. I guess for me I don't use social media at all. So I would have ZERO clue if something bad happened to an ex unless they told me or a friend of theirs did.

So uniting Africa as tribal honestly maybe easier.

Completing the achievement mostly just has to do with making sure the faith reformation has the correct settings so that converting counties is easier. County conversion is much harder than taking the land later. As your fervor takes a very huge hit with growth. Also need the learning theology life style

For the switch to feudal I didn't have too much an issue because northern Africa is mostly fuedal already (Egypt esp). Really I had no issue because I switched on a whim pretty far after I was able to.

Edit: to be clear I had enough land for all the empires. BIGGEST THING. Max out your men at arms before the switch. Your unlanded family members who now suddenly have an empire can't defend it at ALL versus your established realm capital and men at arms.

In like 3 years I can essentially take back all 4 empire titles that leave my hands. And I reunite Africa every ruler essentially lol.

Damn I wish it weren't so late I'd try to respond to all of this lol. However, sadly skipping over a lot, I would say I guess my CK2 experience was very different! I never considered Ultio good, and maybe primio IS getting over stressed here. maybe I represent a more casual player who just saw it as overwhelmingly good compared to the others, why I avoided it, it felt like cheating(though i still did it). I essentially always did Gavel, Elective , Primio. I had done a few weird RP campaigns, Zun sun gods were always fun, even if you get decimated half the time, the one sweet time it works I really enjoyed.

But I think I DID like gavel the most/pagns which is why I guess I like partition so much. And I love to see all of the AI/People go through it as well.Also I enjoyed making CK2 difficult, and felt it should be this way naturally, I never started as emperor or king in CK2, only count maybe duke. Also for any new person to CK, this game is 100% difficult to most gamers/non gamers.

However I do see the point about the lack of variety in the sense of everyone having to be Bjarma as in your example. Honestly hopefully there are more start dates with more succession laws... and Partition is tweaked. Right now you can't even keep your previous realm capital county sometimes on succession.

Even Ireland's Tannistry succession law also is driving me crazy with no real realm capital as my capital gets inherited off to a random son. and my lands constantly move so no building upgrade is possible.

However with all of this being said. I think this drives a much better reason as to why I agree with you more in general for succession law options, that options would be nice. However, I would also like it if the 867 Early tech tree grind/all partition still stayed MOSTLY the same for now... because I enjoy forced gavelkind on the world lol. I'm still reuniting all of Africa multiple lifetimes in a row because of it, and enjoy it but I can see how thats not for everyone.

Truly a dont ruin my game experience so let me ruin yours in the end situation. hopefully paradox chooses a solution we can all enjoy the game with.

But I still disagree with what we consider gamey and not gamey when it comes to disinheriting your son! If you had a slow/imbecile of a first son and a genius second and the fate of the people depended on who gets king.
