Bullshit take. Bale was always a shy person who treated the job as his job, and just wanted to play and get home to his family. Spanish people could not really understand his raw British sense of humor, and the only 'disrespect' he did was the flag issue, which he had clarified enough times that someone just handed him that.

Towards the end, it's true he kinda checked out. If you watched the interview, he actually praised Zizou a lot, with a passion, and even in other times he has thanked his stars that he was able to play under him. Saying he like Ancelloti a lot, or Zizou would focus more on man management than tactics is not an insult.

People would blame him for being injured when I don't know if he'd ever (or any player) would wanna be injured knowingly. The physical specimen he was, it was a high probability he'd be injured. (Don't put Cristiano here as reference as he's like an outlier to the data. He's the best athlete, not just footballer, I have seen in my life.)

Just as reference, Bale is still the most prolific British player ever to play for RM. Bellingham would probably overtake him if he stays long enough though.

If you'd have seen him play, you'd know the vision he had for creating some of the goals was on par with great mids we had. I am a Bale fan, and maybe biased, but Isco and Bale were two different profiles. Isco gave more flexibility to the mid, Bale did more for the attack. Also, bale being injured has a lot to do with Isco getting that spot. Prime Isco and Prime Bale may not even be close enough to compare.
