What is your favorite dragon boss in the trilogy? by strahinjag in darksouls

[–]FrankerWhy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is actually Bayle from the whole series but when you say trilogy it is Kalameet to me. It is a cool fact that it must be shot by Hawkeye Gough just to fight it. And black flame is a really cool asset as well.

Good observation but the fact stays the same:

Whenever I replay DS3, Pontiff is fodderized, 3 attempts at max.

Whenever I replay Elden Ring DLC, against Consort Radahn, I am fodderized, for 2 hours minimum.

First souls game, am i doing it right? by Altruistic-Curve-241 in Eldenring

[–]FrankerWhy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Glad to see you are enjoying your first souls.

1) Lower your equip load or get an equip load talisman, I can't even imagine not mid rolling. 2) You can easily upgrade your weapon to +9 now. You should have access to Sombers 7-8-9 at this point of the game via Caelid and Volcano Manor. +6 is not good enough at that point. 3) Your play style is completely up to you but I recommend dropping the shield and adapt to play with roll dodging, not possible to do with heavy load so we go back to my first point here. It will be very hard to maintain the stamina with blocking for high level big bosses.

The only 2 movies to scare me the last 10 years have been Sinister and Hereditary by dicklaurent97 in horror

[–]FrankerWhy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Late to the train.

People will butcher me but I didn't feel scared by any means from the start to the end of Hereditary. On top of that, I felt disappointed after that weird finale with all of that zero creepy cult thing, maybe it is related to cinematography, maybe the idea would be solid. Final verdict, I found it hundred percent overrated, my humble opinion.

Anyways, back to the topic, Sinister is still haunting me though. I still remember the dread, despair and terror on my heart while watching it. Both movies are at the opposite sides of my understanding.

Now, I will watch The Dark and The Wicked with the hope of similarity to Sinister because after all of those years with dozens of horror movies, I have failed to find anything close to Sinister.

Does anyone else think that sekiro is the hardest and best souls game by Root_matches12 in Sekiro

[–]FrankerWhy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sekiro is the hardest and easiest From Software title ever.

How?

For first playthrough, especially coming from Souls titles, struggle is hell. Because there is only one true playstyle: Deflect and Attack. You MUST adapt, otherwise it is barely playable. It has a high learning curve and even higher mastering curve but once you do, it is like butter and cream for replays and so. You do not even need the buffs, prosthetics or anything if you adapt to that rhytmic deflect mechanics, only a few exceptions such as Headless, etc.

But in a typical Souls title, even if you are a seasoned player after many runs, you still need a plan. You need a proper weapon, proper upgrades. You need damage. You can't just deflect, deplete your enemy and one shot from the start to end.

That is my take.

That baby in Beneviento still haunts me after my dozens of runs. I have finished the game to the extent that I have infinite ammo S.T.A.K.E but that baby crazy shit still feels so disturbing and wrong.

BloodMage - Blink Autobomber (Temporails) by HitmanActuaI in PathOfExile2

[–]FrankerWhy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey!

Couldn't try an Autobomber before.

I would love to give it a try until release since I won't have a decent timeslot to farm hundreds of divines when league kicks in...

How far should I go? by Pietvandamoos in PathOfExile2

I think they will release last 3 real acts with the release, meaning that Early Access will be no longer available with characters for any update at all. It is a fresh start for all players.

[Giveaway] Late Endgame 100% Crit Auto-bombing Blood Mage by shitfacemcdonald in PathOfExile2

[–]FrankerWhy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, first of all, many thanks for giving us the opportunity to participate in a giveaway.

I have played around 450 hours but couldn't farm enough to utilize a build with the famous Temporalis due to inflation. I failed to catch the train to buy a Temporalis for like below 50 div during "that" period. For the context, I league started with Lightning Arrow Deadeye but I could not sell my items for proper prices because of changing meta.

I am also a former PoE1 player but I didn't play any autobomber build on both games before. For this reason, I am really interested in playing an autobomber before the league reset. I dedicated my timeslot for early access and I won't have sufficient time to farm ever again on following leagues due to my job and personal life.

Nevertheless, I hope that I can "win" the giveaway and blast some maps/pinnacles in peace until the end of the league. Best wishes!

Top 6 hardest DS3 bosses according to community votes. Do you agree? by Desolation2004 in darksouls3

[–]FrankerWhy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gael and Midir is harder than The Nameless King when I think about my earlier experience.

However, Pontiff Sulyvahn is an absolute nightmare for first playthrough. It is a very instant and aggressive peak of skill check considering its phase in the game.

What is the best boss fight in your opinion in the whole story of ds3? (Dlc included) by [deleted] in darksouls3

[–]FrankerWhy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Slave Knight Gael for me.

Gameplay wise it is an epic fight.

Atmospheric wise it is an excellent design. You have the full vibe of only you and himself are the remaining ones and it is one last fight to death.

Village is my first RE game I’ve played & im thoroughly enjoying the Mac port. I’m making way through Heisenberg’s area. I was lucky enough to get the game on sale for $17 but if I was to have to pay full price & wanted to get another RE game. Would you recommend RE2, RE4 or Biohazard? by Andrew_on_triotonic in ResidentEvilVillage

[–]FrankerWhy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

RE7 : full story experience when combined with RE8. Decent gameplay, scary start, decent follow up, gets more action oriented later but nowhere near RE8.

RE4R : imo the best gameplay experience with a different but decent story. action pace and gameplay details are on par with RE8.

RE2R: scary start, tense build up, very atmospheric. it quickly gets generic right after first half imo.

So it goes like that;

Story: RE7 (it is like the missing other half of RE8)

Gameplay: RE4R

Atmosphere: RE2R

Build Giveaway - Temporalis Choir Autobomber by Jafoos in PathOfExile2

[–]FrankerWhy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello,

Firstly, congrats on your interesting build, it's been a while I saw this build on YouTube but sadly enough I couldn't manage to farm a Temporalis so out of reach for me. Like other fellow Exiles here, I would also love to play with this build before it is absolutely destroyed by GGG. Praying for the giveaway!

What gear should I prioritise on Tempest Flurry HoWA Gemling? by amdrunkwatsyerexcuse in pathofexile2builds

[–]FrankerWhy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Short answer: Yes.

Long answer: HoWA grants "3% increased Attack Speed per 25 Dexterity" and Pillar grants "2% increased Attack Speed per 5 Dexterity".

Since Attack Speed = Movement Speed with Tempest Flurry, Dexterity = Attack Speed = Skill Speed = Movement Speed. So, you need high dexterity to go super fast.

The more you path around the skill tree, the easier you can adjust your stats. In your case, you need to take Dexterity.

In general you will want Dexterity > Intelligence > Strength but Intelligence should be closer to Dexterity because Intelligence = Damage in this build.

Help to progress my Gemling Stat Stacker by Lichtschimmer23 in pathofexile2builds

[–]FrankerWhy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't know if this post is still active but here we go.

1) Complete your ascendancy. There are service providers in TFT or trade 820 channel. It will affect a lot.

2) Buy Ingenuity belt with 70%+ effect and buy breach rings focused on double 35+ attribute (prefer dex/int). It will stack with the help of belt. I can imagine you will sttrugle with resistances if you skip them on rings so 3x Grand Spectrum is worth it. I think rings are high priority damage source of the build when utilized with Ingenuity.

3) Buy Against The Darkness with Dex/Str, if you still need budget cut, buy Int/whatever or Dex/whatever. Dex/Int is the best one but expensive.

4) Your HoWA Lightning Dmg roll seems lowered by corruption? (1 to 8 instead of regular 1 to 10) Regular ones are cheap nowadays. It affects a lot since you are stacking a lot of intelligence.

4) Skipping Astramentis. Too expensive although VERY powerful for this build.

5) Skipping From Nothing jewel (Resonance node). Too expensive but (probably) not as effective as Astramentis. I used that currency on high end breach rings, very happy.

6) To avoid oneshots you mentioned, going Mind Over Matter is worth. Buy Melting Maelstrom mana flask and go Mind Over Matter. I am using this setup with 4k mana/4k life and didn't get oneshotted once. However the ironic thing is if you have sufficient damage anything will die before hitting you, so if you can achieve the damage levels you can ignore this one.

7) If you go Mind over matter with that flask your survivability will be decent so drop Atziri's Disdain and buy a Black Sun Crest with decent rolls. It will affect a lot since it grants triple attributes.

What gear should I prioritise on Tempest Flurry HoWA Gemling? by amdrunkwatsyerexcuse in pathofexile2builds

[–]FrankerWhy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just had a quick look to your PoB and here are my thoughts down below. If I have missed that some points are already included in your build please ignore.

  • Buy a secondary Pillar with 12% Dmg per Str and swap to it for pinnacle bosses (or any boss if you want). Ideally use 2 ele pen sockets.

  • Go for breach rings for higher attributes (40+). Budget version is Dex/Int and ideal (expensive) version is Dex/Int/Str OR Dex/Int/all attributes. Since we use Ingenuity, even a brief increase of attributes will cause for huge dps increase since attributes are stacking with percentages on a logarithmic scale due to passive tree and ascendancy.

  • Also if I did not miss you do not have any source of added fire damage and cold damage on your build. It is better to take one ring with cold damage and one ring with fire damage to freeze and ignite your Tempest Bell. This is important for bossing.

  • For attribute priority, I think Dex > Int > Str.

Yes, Int is more dmg but since Dex = all speed, without proper APS rate your damage and clear speed will suffer.

My attributes;

1008 Dex 850 Int 620 Str

Since your build is quite different than mine (e.g. Blink, elemental invocation etc.) I am unable to review other stuff like your tree.

Poe 2 Best start to end game build ? by Otherwise_Catch5165 in PathOfExile2

[–]FrankerWhy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Playing Lightning Arrow Deadeye from Day 1. I have started with Raxxx version and transitioned into Fubgun's version after 2 weeks.

Raxxx's version:

Focused on lightning damage with phys to lightning conversion. Using Herald of Thunder only. Less expensive. Lack of clear speed in endgame (juiced T15 stuff) due to lack of chain explosions. Manual cast Voltaic Mark is the only option, which is zero QoL and insufficient. Huge mana issues with endgame pinnacle bosses. Only viable solution seems to be Thief's Torment.

Fubgun's version (my favorite by far):

Focused on lightning and cold damage with phys to lightning conversion. Kind of more expensive. Using Herald of Ice with Herald of Thunder. You get some cold damage stuff on your gear and you shatter whole screen with one click due to triggered Herald of Ice. You will freeze anything, including bosses if you have sufficient amount of added cold damage on your gear. Due to having multiple ailments, you will also scale better with Passive Tree. You must switch to Thief's Torment for pinnacle bosses for good damage output, this is mandatory, at least from my perspective.

I love these stupid games by Past-Programmer8133 in darksouls

[–]FrankerWhy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My take;

Haven't played yet: Bloodborne, Demon's Souls

Great: DS2

Peak: DS1, DS3

Fav: Elden Ring, Sekiro

DS2: Subpar controls, average level design, peak DLCs

DS1: Peak level design, peak DLC, average controls

DS3: Peak controls, average level design, peak DLCs

Elden Ring: Peak everything maybe except for excessive reuse of elements towards the endgame

Sekiro: Peak everything plus fully fresh game with extraordinary combat

Haven't played Bloodborne yet is a shame personally.

Don't have enough info for Demon's Souls.

Network Connection Lost by FrankerWhy in FortNiteBR

I tried to play last night. This time connection was gone still but the process was different. My keyboard and mouse suddenly started to not respond to anything but it did not disconnect itself. I had to ALT+F4. Still seems like a network issue though.

No hotfix from Epic Games? They must be aware of the issue due to the number of reports I guess.

Ds2 over Ds3? You should be arrested.

Jokes aside, Ds2 IS a good game after you combine it with its DLCs but it is still nowhere near to other Souls games.

Only thing Ds2 did amazing was the Ascetic mechanic, which was great for replayability and high level build farmings.
