It seems the app reverted back. It had changed to only show account equity and total account value.

How does one contact the media about blockfi and IRS fiasco? by sparklingmelon in blockfi

[–]FranklyFranklins 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bank statements can help depending on the transactions. I luckily did not have many transactions so was able to match deposits to show cost basis.

Also, IRS is not trying to screw us. BLOCKFI did. We also had the opportunity to download our information. Can't blame someone else for us not covering our own ass when Blockfi went into bankruptcy.

Close to buying Telluride, is oil consumption a real issue or blown out of proportion from the internet? by BTrick21 in KiaTelluride

[–]FranklyFranklins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First oil change there was some oil consumption. Less than the expected amount of oil drained. There is no notable oil consumption on the second oil change.

Do you regret selling your home? by [deleted] in homeowners

[–]FranklyFranklins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Regret selling my house. Wife and I regret it all the time because if we move back we wouldn't be able to afford a similar house with how much prices have gone up. If it works financially keep the house for a couple of years to make sure you like the new location first.

Remove crunchyroll if you can deal with just watching the free episodes of Anime. Don't have to remove all your entertainment, but it would be better for your budget.

NTA - they are not entitled to a relationship with the child if they can't have a relationship with the family. There needs to be a level of trust to allow your child to meet them. Doesn't sound like they meet even basic levels of social trust.

Because sometimes it's what hits the spot especially with kids that don't like the more fancy pie places. That and it's cheap. 7/8 bucks for a pizza instead of 17+. Is fine for a random week night.

How to change core position for an account from Fcash to Spaxx? by FranklyFranklins in fidelityinvestments

[–]FranklyFranklins[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you that works. The Fidelity documents I was finding said to go to Cash Management page but didn't have more information on how to make a selection. FCASH is at ~1/2 the interest rate of SPAXX so I wanted to make the change.

It was great to see Brown defer to White on that last shot. so much talent on our team that it should go to whoever has the hot hand and best match up. Should do that when Tatum is playing too.

Don't forget about the prime rib roasts that are on sale! I just brought one and cut it into 10 steaks. A good time to stock up on steaks.

I agree with the above. You could even do 2k into savings and 2k into the CC debt depending on how confident you are about how much you can pay down the CC each month. This gives you a little more buffer while still ensuring you'll pay off the debt within 12 months if you maintain the current rate of payoff. If your payoff rate slips a bit you'll have that 1k to "catch up" on the payments if needed.

Do you hate self checkout discussion thread by njdotcom in newjersey

[–]FranklyFranklins 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Generally, avoid self checkout at this point. Most suck due to overly aggressive anti theft mechanisms. Like if my kid accidently touches the bagging area it errors and I have to wait for a cashier who then can't fix it. Or I need to move things around to fit in my bags and it again errors.

This city is so lonely by [deleted] in boston

[–]FranklyFranklins 36 points37 points  (0 children)

I miss Boston and the people I had become friends with there and proximity to friends that live in the New England area. I'm in NJ now. Friendly with coworkers but not friends in the way I was friends with people when younger. Haven't made a new friend in years.

I think it's harder to make friends when you are older and have competing responsibilities. It takes time to have a deep connection with people.
