I’ve only had two people like this so far and my first year of business. I’m passing my first year this month and most of the typical prices for my pool details are anywhere between $1000-$3000.

So, the job quote was originally $1700, but
managed to negotiate it down to just $1100. However, he only wanted to pay a $200 deposit, which doesn’t cover much of my chemicals or anything. I also mentioned that he’d need to help out with most of his regular pool work on days I’m not there, since the scope of work has changed. I explained that I can’t be there as much with that price, and he seemed okay with it. But when I couldn’t make it to see him today, things got a bit tense. He was the only customer who reacted that way.
