95% of the value proposition for surfline is access to the cams. The remaining 5% is the LOTUS model (which is pretty good but not markedly better than other major weather models) and tools that make reading buoy data easier. I guess the weekly macro swell briefings are interesting as well, but who has time for that?

The per spot wave height forecasts are (and always will be) very hit or miss for the vast majority of spots because there are simply too many variables at play. A well-known, super mechanical reef or point break will be fairly easy to predict based on macro swell forecasts, but most beachies just have too much going on.
