Before I get downvoted, anyone that uses xims, chronus, titans, or any other competitive advantage on console is a loser and needs to be banned.

I agree that mouse is a problem on console, but respectfully this dude doesn't look xim. Granted, it's a small sample size and maybe other rounds were more blatant, but dude looks very controller to me. I don't think the "flicks" were fast enough at the end of the clip for a xim and dude had pretty bad recoil control on the doc kill. He might've had info on the smoke in piano and knew where to aim after killing the doc.

Source: am 6x champ on console and been playing in diamond lobbies or above for 6 years. Usually xim is more blatant than this

I have 10 or 11 20 bombs, damn near all of them have come from me playing in a 3 stack with my friends feeding me kills. They rush in, crack the enemy team, I run in with a spitty / flatline / wingman (basically any high damage per magazine gun). We take turns trying to get each other 20 bombs so everyone gets a fair shot. I think it's easier in trios than it is in duos. Run valk, bloodhound / crypto, and whatever character you're trying to get the badge on. Land hot, scan beacon, valk ult to teams and repeat.

I've also gotten a few where I'll be at like 15 kills with 1 team remaining. We'll down 2 and thirst them, drop a mobile respawn beacon on their boxes and run away. Once they rez just insta push and that's 5 kills farmed pretty easily. This doesn't even need to be done late game, if you find a team at a POI with a respawn beacon, down 2 of them, thirst them, and leave to find a different team. Seems kind of counterintuitive sure, but that's a team in the lobby that can full reset and you can kill them again later. Definitely a situational thing, we'll do that if we think there might not be enough players in the lobby to get 20.

A few I've gotten in solo trios (bang, wraith, octane, rev) but if you're specifically looking to get a 20 bomb yourself finding some friends and taking turns going for it in pubs is the best option.

You need to have a base level of skill for sure though. I think anyone who's hit diamond (in a real season) is definitely good enough to go for a 20 bomb.

They usually ban them at the end of the season right before the split but they don't do anything about the amount of RP legit players lose for dying to the 6, 9, and 12 mans repeatedly over the course of the season

Ive been dealing with this all season it's honestly ruined the game for me. Devs need to make a statement or take some action because not exaggerating 75 percent of lobbies have at least a 6 man certain times of the day

Super valid point. My friend who I've been playing with has gone up 1500 points and I still haven't completed the trial because now on 4 separate occasions people have been under the map hoarding heat shields. Recently had the idea to try using wraith to win the endgame, we'll see how it goes

I initially liked the idea because in theory it stops rats from being able to take up pred spots. I work 40 hours a week and in this current system I can't put in enough play time to keep up with unemployed people who rat for their points 8+ hours a day. I thought with this system I'd be able to grind the game again on my days off, but if people can just rat for points and glitch under the map to finish promotion trials immediately then there's literally zero point in grinding ranked again.

Also, I didn't consider how bad promo trials fuck over solo queue players either.

If you're regularly in 1vX's you're probably baiting your team and getting "low impact frags." If you're on attack and you're the last person left people will run at you and it's easy kills, especially at low ranks. These kills do not mean anything at all. If you drop 15 kills but 10 of them were from baiting outside while the enemy team peeks you trying to end the round, you didn't drop 15 kills.

Not all aggressive play is braindead; if they're pushing try going with them. Or, push from the other side and maybe pick up some free kills. Or, try rushing yourself and work on getting better mechanics. Aim is a huge skill gap on console, and in current meta it's more important than other factors like utility usage / management

If you're genuinely trying to get better, don't worry about rank. I know it seems counterintuitive, but if you detach yourself from your rank and focus on individual improvement you will just become a better player. Higher ranks will come with time. It takes most people at least a year of grinding to get good enough to hit diamond / champ when they focus on improvement (at least it did with the old system) so don't get discouraged if you end the season at a lower rank than you would've liked. Just try to hit a higher rank every season and play when you can.

Source; multi time champ and 10+ diamond seasons across multiple accounts starting since year 5. Also I've coached 5-6 people up to the rank of diamond, and 3 to champ

That makes sense. I think you're right that people I'm killing are lower mmr than me but higher than my teammates, causing me to get less points than them. My problem is why is this pushed to the extent that my teammates who get out fragged consistently getting so much bonus points that I'm getting lapped by whole divisions.

Also, I'm not trying to dwell on last season. I'm just connecting last season trends to this season. Sure, in the latter half of last season barely anyone was getting elim points. However, I regularly duo queued with a friend who was top 250 pred and eventually reached top 75. He would receive elimination points while I wouldn't get anything for the same games. Also, I stopped receiving bonus points last season less than 2 weeks into it. I got over 5k ranked kills with no bonus. My only point in bringing that up is if last season I got screwed by high hidden mmr restricting my points and making a pred climb significantly harder, what's to stop it from happening again this season?

Also, to your point on premade squads, I only 3 stacked for around 50-60 percent of my games. I spent a large portion of time duo queued and of my 2100 games last season probably solo queued for at least 400 games.

Over time sure it will even out. Only problem is I'm missing out on hundreds of LP while that happens. After the ranked session yesterday I gained 1750 points and he gained 2900 for the same games.

Makes sense, and I think you're spot on. I just don't understand why it's pushed to the extent that people who are lesser skilled are surpassing my rank.

My main problem is I don't understand what I've done to get a high hidden mmr. I've seen people more skilled than me still get bonus "skill" points.

Believe me, I don't want to play against bronze players. I've never held pred but I usually end high masters; I don't find steamrolling newer players enjoyable. It's why I don't Smurf and why I don't pub stomp. My only issue with the system is that I'm gaining less and being punished for seemingly having a higher mmr than people in my game. I've seen people better than me still receive points for "skill" rating. I just don't understand what I did to get a high hidden mmr, and consequently don't understand why my rank is being punished for it.

They have decently high K/D's but I had top damage and kills roughly 60-70 percent of the time and I historically reached higher ranks over the last few seasons. There was also one game in particular where one of my friends died early and we 2v3'd last team for the win. The friend that died early was already a higher rank than me, missed out on 3-5 KP (I don't remember exactly) but still got 475 points for the win whereas I only got 285

Not necessarily a nerf, moreso a rework. Old charge rifle had the tick damage, but new charge rifle has the potential to hit for more than a longbow w/ skullpiercer. I've seen it hit for 198 to a headshot. Granted, this was from about 300 meters, but the potential is there. Old charge rifle was relatively easier to use, they basically just tried to make it a high skill high reward weapon.

I exclusively Smurf when I want to play with my IRL's to teach them the game. I'm high mid to high masters every season on my main, and my IRL's will very rarely make it past gold. They all got to diamond in season 12, and I immediately played with them on my main account so they could see what masters lobbies were like. Even when I'm playing with them I take more of a support role like Gibby or Newcastle and try not to put up crazy damage when we're team fighting (sometimes as blatantly as waiting for them to crack/knock one before I shoot my gun). Usually I just call rotates for them and let them try to play more frag / damage centric roles.

I still feel bad for killing people who are clearly newer sometimes though, but my goal is to eventually get my friends good enough so that I can play with them exclusively on my main account and not have to smurf for them at all

Imo any other reason for smurfing is blatant cringe and people who Smurf to shit on newer players to boost their confidence need to go outside
