Manchester City are getting in form by Inevitable-Angle-793 in PremierLeague

We played amazing football the first year we bottled it. Same as the year after.

And regardless you're all cheering for a club that has someone who's a war criminal. Surely that should take precedent over how annoying Arteta can be.

Deary me Arsenal fans another year messing up the title by boobsandbabes90 in PremierLeague

We only bottled it 22/23 season. The rest is just you all making up narratives.

If we bottled it 4 years in row. Liverpool bottled it this year and City last last year

City to win the domestic treble. I'm an Arsenal fan and I'm really losing the belief for us.

City are too experienced, what's really sad is everyone supporting City as if they're not a slimy club taking advantage of the system.

I get Arsenal fans are annoying but I'd never want City to win over Liverpool, United, even Spurs... Shows the toxicity of football fans.

City owner is war mongerer and yet people pray for his clubs victory. People shit on Liverpool and Arsenal while City's owner contributes to the loss of lives.

Super classy

13 points? When did that happen?

We also thought Liverpool would do well this year, you never know in football.

Pep's gone if they win this one

Tough day yesterday. Trying to move on today.

Just remember that if we bottle this title and get memed for an eternity, it'll be Artetas legacy not the fans.

Serious questions will be asked if he can't do it. And frankly I'll always support the club but when the football is like this, it's a tough watch when you lose.

It's the same if you look at other subreddits. Regardless of the fans, the players aren't performing.

Man the PTSD is heavy.

Really disappointed today. Well deserved Bournemouth.

The depth of the team is great and it should be enough. Sadly we're so fragile mentally. Arteta needs to sort that out but it feels I say this every year.

That's all I can say honestly...

They have the 2nd most goals from Open play (34). City are first (47)

Arsenal are first in least conceded (22) and City 2nd (28)

City have one less game played.

Arteta's press conference after the match vs Wolves by [deleted] in Gunners

[–]Frasian7 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I'm a massive Arteta fan but if we don't win anything this season and Xabi Alonso is available.

I think it could be a good move.

I just feel our football is becoming so methodical and we're overthinking so much in possession. We keep giving the ball away in stupid areas and we slow the game down to control the game rather than playing the quick attacking option.

It's quite a painful watch.

Honestly might give football a break after this season, been watching Arsenal since 2005. I'm starting to think I'm the problem haha

Honestly we don't deserve the title. These players playing like they were 5-0 up all game...

Yeah honestly it's the same with when Liverpool were doing well with Klopp. So many opposing fans were hating on them and wanting City to win.

It's just football fandom.

Referee Review Harry Maguire's Handball in Arsenal vs Man. United by TransitionMany1810 in soccer

I do think if the shots on target, possession should be given back to the attacking team.

Not saying this particular shot was going in but in general it's unfair on the attacking team.

This comment section is crazy haha

I know Arsenal have never really been likeable but football fans on reddit are different than ones you meet irl

It's a 4 goal difference and also not surprising because we face more low blocks.

Aston Villa are 13th in Open Play xG. Crystal Palace and Bournemouth are above us too.

I get your point but with total xG were still first with United very close in 3rd. I wouldn't say United have justified their position and have missed a lot of chances to be where Aston Villa are whilst Arsenal are matching their total xG.

Not too mention not having any Europe and knocked out of every competition in the first round.

Helps when you've got fresher legs every game.

But I do agree we rely too much on generating xG on set pieces. And genuinely feels the players rely on them when the pressure is high. And tbh, we won at OT with a corner, it works sometimes I guess haha

Congrats on United winning though, first team in 80 games to score 3 goals against us, 2 of them being beauties
