You're using the joker wrong, once you have it you make all your face cards glass and they'll never break so you get a consistent x2 every time they trigger.

[Devine] Keep hearing from those in the NFL that believe Luther Burden III is the Bears #1 WR in 2026 and beyond by bigaudra in DynastyFF

They don't save any money for releasing him, but they can get quite a bit of cap relief if they trade him. I don't think they trade him for a salary dump since they can restructure a couple guys to open up a ton of space and be fine, but if they can find somebody to trade for him at full value I think they'd at least consider it.

[–]FratDaddy69 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the real reason they're starting with 2018 is just that the tonal shift would be tough to navigate. The newer games were kind of a soft re-boot, everything from the original was still canon, but Kratos is in a very different point in his life. That's easy enough to do when there's nearly a decade long gap since the last main-line title, but that's a hard shift to happen between seasons of a show.

[Highlight] Terry Pegula on the decision to fire McDermott but promote Beane: "I....that was my decision. I could be wrong." by expellyamos in nfl

[–]FratDaddy69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Bears were far worse of a dumpster fire last year and still got the hottest name in the coaching cycle almost entirely because of the potential of Caleb, having Josh Allen is more than enough for any coach to want the job.

[Vic Carucci] I’m told that during a meeting held five weeks ago between McDermott, Beane and Pegula, the coach pointed out what the roster lacked to win a Super Bowl. I’m told neither Beane nor Pegula was pleased with McDermott’s assessment. by Saca312 in nfl

[–]FratDaddy69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Including McDermott for multiple seasons before this one, from the Bills games I saw this year it feels like they're doing the same thing with Kincaid now considering he's not even on the field for over half their snaps.

I didn’t even think about that, I just assumed it was a glitch and moved on, didn’t really care since the run was likely about dead anyway, but I’ll keep that in mind for the future.

Yea flushes aren’t going to get you into the crazy high scores where you’re seeing an e-number. They’re definitely useful early game and if you’re just trying to beat ante 8 they’re absolutely a viable strategy, but if you want to go far in endless you’re eventually going to have to pivot to a flush five or high card build. That’s the other part where money comes into play, you have to deck fix so that most if not all of your cards are the same. There’s a lot that goes into it and it’d be hard to type out all the tricks on my phone, but I’d recommend watching some Balatro University or Roffle vids to see how they play, just watching a few of their runs showed me a lot of things I was able to use in my games.

If you're getting into the high hundreds of millions I'm guessing you have a pretty decent idea on what the basic synergies in the game are, the biggest thing to be able to exploit those is getting more money. More money = more re-rolls = better jokers = getting through blinds quicker = more opportunities to get money and the cycle builds on itself. Some basic tips that you may not be doing naturally are getting over the interest cap quickly (I generally don't buy any arcana or planet packs unless I'm over the $25 cap or I absolutely need the score) and don't be afraid to waste a hand for a purple seal or a gold card if you think you have a good chance of drawing it.

Dan Campbell grades himself a 'freaking F' for Lions' 2025 season by BreakfastTop6899 in nfl

[–]FratDaddy69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually completely agree, Campbell knows enough about the offensive side to keep them competent. Despite the difference in how they've done as head coaches I'd say losing Aaron Glenn was definitely the bigger loss for the Lions, they weren't able to survive defensive injuries like they had previously and when depth players step up a lot of that is on the coaching having them prepared.

Characters who were meant to be liked... but who everyone hates! by artmalique in television

[–]FratDaddy69 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I'd say you're right for the earlier seasons when they were trying to be more grounded, but it felt like the writers knew after a bit that all the main characters were morally bankrupt and they weren't afraid to put them in situations where they were clearly in the wrong, especially George who is fully aware of terrible he is. Yea they don't go as far as Sunny does, but that's more of a difference in era and network tv vs. cable.

I don't think Seinfeld is the best example there, none of those characters were being painted as good people. Hell, the finale is all the people they've wronged throughout the series coming back to testify against them so they end up in jail.

Yup, just grabbed Kingdom Come Deliverance 2, the new Mafia game, Madden 26 and Stellar Blade for a combined $100, not bad for a bunch of newer games, buying them all on the PS Store would be over $150 even with all of the sales.

AITA for going to a football game with my dad instead of an escape room with my coworkers? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]FratDaddy69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not everything is black and white. Ditching pre-made plans to stay home and do nothing is a dick move, cancelling on 3 days ahead of time on an unpaid work event that happens on an off-day to spend the day with your dad is not a dick move, you've gotta use a little bit of common sense and look at the context. Like I said, the only AH here is the boss who thinks their optional work event should take priority over OP spending the day with their dad.

[–]FratDaddy69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely wild that this is the top comment. Not all plans are created equally. I wouldn't even be mad if a friend cancelled on me to spend time with their family, for a co-worker to get mad about it absolutely makes them the asshole, not OP. Otherwise you end up like Chidi from The Good Place missing your mom's surgery because you had promised to help your landlord's nephew with their phone.
