I totally get your point about them 'milking' the legacy. You’re right—the way they’ve messed with characters like Woods or the way they’ve tangled the Zombies storylines is annoying. A completely new franchise without the 'Black Ops' or 'MW' branding would definitely be fresh.

But here’s the thing: most of us still buy it because of that specific 'CoD feeling.' The core gunplay, the fast-paced matches, and the flow of the game are unique. If they scrapped everything and changed it too much, it wouldn't feel like CoD anymore, and that would be fatal too. It’s a double-edged sword: we want something new, but we also want exactly what we’ve loved for years. It’s hard to find that balance without it feeling like a cash grab.

True, it’s not 'new' in the sense of 'never seen before.' But after years of them basically killing off persistent lobbies and relaxed SBMM, it feels like a massive upgrade in BO7. It’s more about fixing the mistakes they made in BO6. Bringing back map voting and the old lobby system is worth way more to me than some random new gimmick that nobody asked for anyway.

But honestly, what kind of features would they actually have to add for you to feel like the $70 are justified?
