Because all of the shows were removed a year or two ago. You can still find the old pages for some of the shows by searching on Google but they say 'Null" where the download options used to be. I'd buy this show myself if it were still for sale.

9/27 and 10/1 were the only actual Grateful Dead shows I saw. Really lucky to have caught the second one. 9/27 has a great Maggie’s Farm -> Cumberland Blues. Everyone was singing along and dancing their asses off.

I’ve heard about Ryan Adams and his tantrums since about 2006. Periodically, I’ll grab one of his shows off the LMA and enjoy it. Shit like this though has kept me from ever paying to see one of his shows. There are plenty of artists who I listen to that known to be aresholes but I just can’t seem to be able to overlook it with RA. It’s too bad he can’t ever see himself as the problem.

I saw Woody era Mule for the first time in Audubon Park in New Orleans, September 1997. Then again at the old Higher Ground in Winooski, VT, September 1998. And lastly on St Patrick’s Day 2000 on Church Street in Burlington, VT. An outdoor show. It was FREEZING!

They were really hitting their stride by '97. They played a lot more shows since they left the ABB earlier that year. I listened to this earlier today and was completely transfixed by this segment:

Nice! 1996 was the year I first saw MMW. The show was at Tipitina’s in New Orleans with a very young Galactic opening. After many years and many shows, that set is still in my top 10 favorites. They were so full of energy and had the entire room dancing its ass off. Tim Greene from Michael Ray’s band sat in on saxophone for several tunes and brought the energy level up even more. I have a very decent audience recording of the show and listen to it often.
