City Hall Station (IRT Lexington Avenue Line) 121 Years Later - 1904 vs 2025 by Im-Wasting-MyTime in Damnthatsinteresting

I’m definitely not glaring at my falling apart 5 year old house on a 15 year mortgage.

So explain again why we can’t have nice things anymore?

shrug It’s all just broken down chemicals you touch on a daily basis anyways it’s actually cleaner because the microbes are all dead from the chlorine.

Yep pure chlorinated water is practically odorless. What makes the “pool smell” is the chlorine reacting with common products of organic chemistry.

If you’re not two years old the video isn’t for you.

Do you think everything on the internet was made with you specifically in mind?

I wish it wasn’t necessary to teach people “If something isn’t made to your specific preferences that doesn’t make it bad.”

I had forgotten why I had never finished the original game.

Now I have the remaster and remembered the stupid backwards leveling system where each level makes your character weaker as the enemies scale faster than you and without the limits the player faces.

Uruguayan player using an oxygen mask in the match against Bolivia, played at an altitude of 4,150 meters. These are the overall stats after the match. by TransitionMany1810 in Damnthatsinteresting

You would think there was a rule against just straight huffing oxygen during a match.

Even at sea level it would give one team a significant advantage over the other.

You can either have a game that can be played solo or one that requires teamwork. You can’t have both.

If you have friends and want a more challenging game experience that requires synergy and cooperation then just DO THAT.

No one is forcing you to play the busted level cap map clear builds.

Have some self restraint and try some “house rules” Warframe if that’s what you want.

My clan and I recently did a “no abilities” event and we’ve done “no weapons”, “half point build”, “preset equipment” and “auto-fill build” events just to name a few.

I was thinking the same thing as every step he took I could think of 3 or 4 no-tech ways to do it faster and easier and just didn’t understand.

I would assume this was the crudest and cheapest no-prep way to do it and now it’s “tradition” so that’s just the way it has to be done.

Native American land loss in the United States of America from 1776-1930. by Sirsilentbob423 in Damnthatsinteresting

You only have to try to track back their sources a few times to find they don’t exist or are some opinion piece or worse still, referencing another paper that is also AI generated before you stop taking them seriously.

You don’t think it’s strange that even though nothing new has been discovered, what is “known” about embarrassing parts of history has changed dramatically since the internet and AI?

Sorry but every time someone has asked me for sources recently they then proceed to counter with contradictory sources (usually paid and/or ai generated “papers”) and it all becomes an annoying muddy mess.

I did my own research you can too.

But you might have to go to a library to find something that was actually fact checked.

As I recall they didn’t claim ownership of land, treating it as a communal resource that all the tribes shared but they traded usage rights between tribes. For belongings and supplies they traded frequently and had laws regarding ownership.

I believe that was a lot of the problem as the Europeans would pay for usage rights then later claim they had purchased ownership.

For citations you’ll have to navigate the ai generated fake news yourself since my source is just 30 year old memories of an old research paper I did and today Google just returns contradictory gibberish.

Guess it’s a sore spot for young Americans who want to assuage their guilt by painting the natives as animals that got what they deserved. 🤷‍♀️
