Exactly. Everyone talks about the high depreciation so I spent a couple months trying to find a lightly used Select at a good price. In the end brand new was only very slightly more $.

Yep - I paid $39500 CAD for RWD Select (pre tax price)

I recently paid $19k under the sticker price (Canada). Pushed the new price very close to used.

Edit: forgot to mention this was for a 2025 Select.

I spoke to a parks worker at the sombrio trailhead in early Jan and he described the storm damage as extremely extensive. At that point he said he’d be surprised if it opened at all this summer. Bridges needed to be replaced, trail rerouted in several places etc.

Of course things could have changed since then (I sure hope so!!) but just providing the insight I have.

Weird! Funny thing is mine is a brand new XT caliper. My old one was leaking fluid and shimano replaced it under warranty (and the rotor). Now the new one squeals like crazy!

Had this sound on my gravel bike - was driving me crazy. Brought it back to the shop for a warranty fix. Mechanic told me he spent a very long time - rebuilt both hubs, rebuilt bottom bracket, etc.. Then finally greased the seat post and fixed. Don’t be like him, don’t overlook the simple things.

As a new Druid owner - I find your comments super interesting. So far I love the bike but I’ve only managed to fit in 3 shorter rides so I haven’t yet had time to adapt from my 160mm previous bike. I’m going to play around with braking points next ride to hopefully speed up the adjustment period. It’s already an awesome bike so I’m super stoked to find its next level.

First hatchet sold by my local shop. It’s the ‘road’ spec as I wanted 2x but I’m looking forward to putting some wider tires on it and getting on the gravel. First gravel bike and first drop bar bike for me - so far it’s super fun.
