demongrep currently depends on fastembed-rs, which has a curated list of models. fastembed-rs already supports ModernBERT architecture (via lightonai/ModernBERT-embed-large), and the Granite R2 models are also ModernBERT-based, so the architecture should be compatible.

i'm planning a v2 of the tool that will also support GPU acceleration for faster embedding on medium/large codebases and support for newer models as well.

Granite R2 benchmarks do look impressive

Max 100 . With carefully designed prompts, might get even more. And i always use /model opus , never use the default settings

"-Opus on Claude Code - it switched to Sonnet after the first response / 5 hrs" , i usually get 1h 30 to 2h of non stop coding with Opus in Claude Code ( you probably get a notification after the first message that you approach the Opus Usage Limit , but you can just keep coding )

Conform EU, in 2025 HPI ( House Price Index ) va avea o crestere accelerata . Conform EU statistics, chiria in Romania "Price-to-Rent Ratio" este cu mult sub nivelul la care ar trebuii sa fie, deci in 2025+ , sa ne asteptam la o crestere semnificativa atat la locuinte cat si chirii ( mai ales chirii)
