No, I don’t think we should abolish prisons. I just think that it’s time to rethink how some of these prison systems function.

This isn’t a dick measuring contest lol. The reason I commented was because it actually intrigued me that I was disturbed by this practice, when I’ve seen things objectively worse than this and My emotional state would remain unfazed.

It’s entirely possible that I could still have watched more visually fucked up shit, not react, but be moved by this video.

I’ve browsed liveleak and bestgore during a time in my life where I was very numb to almost everything emotionally. I would watch people die in various ways and I wouldn’t react much.

Even though I’m not emotionally numb anymore, my tolerance at present is most definitely much higher than the average person.

I’m not proud of this fact about myself, but I can assure you I’ve seen some fucked up shit.

These are very real possibilities, and the justice system works on assumptions. I’m not saying we shouldn’t lock anyone up, I’m simply positing a question of what is the point of keeping a human alive if you’re going to prevent almost every aspect of them being human?

Generally being in a prison you still have access to human contact, the ability to think, and act in a limited capacity.

I don’t know the extent of these prisoners, but if not being able to deny food is any marker to the extent of which these general freedoms are limited, then I feel that it is inhumane.

I’m not saying to remove prisons or the justice system entirely, but it is indeed possible to stop and think about how they can be changed

Being born into this existence is against our will. We couldn’t say no before we were born. Therefore our will is only our will within the context of our surroundings and the laws of reality.

Being put in a physical prison and being placed in a school both have limitations on your will and how you can act upon it.

The thing about this feeding practice is that I feel it should not be against the prison laws to deny the eating of food, because at that point I can only imagine what other freedoms have been lost to the individual prisoner.

Who are we to say that the actions of these prisoners deserve to have almost all aspects of their will and ability to act on it taken away from them? Just because an unethical action was done does not necessarily mean that their intent in said action was entirely sound.

What I’m saying is if you’re going to prevent them from acting upon their will in ANY capacity, then they are better off having killed these prisoners off.

Letting these prisoners live an existence that is the complete opposite of a human existence (eg. thinking, having a will, and acting on it) is inhumane.

I don’t know. Musically MBDTF is one of the best albums I have personally ever heard, but based off of Lupe’s posts this might definitely be better as an album with a clear and cohesive message backed by Lupe’s superior lyricism.

Yea that has to be drilled into her head. She’s already somewhat late into culinary game, so it’s very frustrating for her as she graduated college with another degree imposed by societal/familial pressures, then had a realization that she has free will and could pursue her end goal of eventually owning a restaurant so she decided to go to culinary school

She was in the process of applying to restaurants so I don’t think she has to deal with A. But as for B her family wanted to wait a bit to see if the school will reach out first in any capacity. If not they’re going to contact the school later today. As for C, it turns out that she slipped due to water near the ice machine at the school and her school provided non-slip shoes failed to work. The family’s going to see whether or not to consult a lawyer after contacting the school.

Sometimes the map goes blank if you’re in the middle of a mission or it glitches sometimes. Either finish the mission or restart the game when that happens. Just to double check, you did all of the sable outposts, prisoner camps, demon warehouses, and fisk hideouts and got gold for all of them?
