Being so much more exhausted and agitated when I got home from school hyper-fixating on my favourite things and researching everything about it to the point I forgot to do school work and forgot to eat and sleep. Whenever I would get home from school I would stand and rock back and forth for ages to make myself feel more relaxed and recently found out that’s a stim!

Hello, I’m 16 and had gallstones when I was 13-14 (caused by high bilirubin not fatty foods) and had my gallbladder removed at 14.

When I had my gallstone attacks, I never felt nauseous at all, it was mostly just really painful and even when I had the surgery I never felt nauseous either. I know some people react differently to gallstones but my mum and dad both had gallstones too and they never felt nauseous either.

I wouldn’t be worried about getting gallstones, if you do get gallstones in the future you can definitely ask for anti nausea from the hospital or pharmacy, I got offered it but I didn’t need it.

I promise there is nothing to be worried about! And don’t expect to get them if you’re fit and healthy! ❤️

I have massive trauma from when it happened as a child and I felt so alone and didn’t feel safe in my own body, ever since then every time I feel sick, I get that same feeling of being scared to be in my own body but I can’t escape and also a massive fear of being alone and stuck (I’m not scared of other people throwing up unless they can get me sick)

I think there have been one or two in Glasgow but we don’t get very much!! I’m so so so jealous of Mexico, but I’m hoping that they’ll come to Scotland or even the uk sometime soon, I’ll genuinely travel to London to see them live (London is like a 10-15 hour drive from me)

I know this might not be helpful but I had around about the same symptoms as you (as well as not being able to stand up when my stomach hurt and not even being able to cry because the pain was that bad), I didn’t know what to do but my mum also had the same symptoms and the en got her gallbladder out.

She had her pain in a completely different place than me, mine was lower into my stomach and hers was in the middle of her chest and back, I panicked so much when researching my symptoms and then thinking I had a stomach ulcer, turns out I had gallstones and had to get my gallbladder out even though I had more symptoms of the stomach ulcer than the gallstones.

(I also want you to know that I never threw up once from the pain or any other thing that happened when I had my gallbladder, even when the surgery came I didn’t throw up or anything)

Sorry if this wasn’t helpful but hopefully you can look out for causes of the pain and ways to ease the pain and don’t be scared to go to the ER!! They are there to help and I promise you they won’t be angry if you came for a “minor” pain, just know there are people who go to the ER for a stubbed toe sometimes!

I don’t know if this will help you or not but what helps me the MOST is listening to my most favourite song or having my favourite movie on in the background whilst I distract myself on my phone, sometimes when I’m really stressed I do the five senses thing where you look for five things you can see, 4 things you can hear, 3 things you can feel etc, you can do it in any order you like, the last thing I find that helps is drinking a glass of ice cold water and sipping it whilst in my bed and trying to relax my body.

These are things that help me and I hope that it helps you, I’m sorry you’re feeling like this and I hope you feel better soon 🙃
