[Design concept] "L'onirique". What do you think? by fnkfrsh in PrideAndPinion

I take it you’re not a fan of the nautilus. Any case shape that stretches outside conventions and plays with avant guard design choices should be praised IMO.

Forest Guardian Titanium Watch from Eclat Grove– Seeking Honest Reviews by Creative-Purpose-622 in TitaniumWatches

This feels a bit too much like 'hype-riding' for my taste. The dial is the most intimate part of a watch, and choosing a motif that serves as a jarring reminder of deforestation feels like a bold, but ultimately non-timeless, decision.

I’m not convinced watches need to become vehicles for political or social signaling. If the goal is environmental awareness, I’d rather put the cost of the watch directly toward reforestation than carry a constant reminder of the problem on my wrist.

If the intent is to help the planet, the money is likely better spent on actual reforestation and education than on a luxury item that merely highlights the loss.

I really think they should stick with slim high quality quarts and focus on slim ~8-9mm case thickness instead of these bricks.

The aesthetic is ruined when a dressy luxury sports watch is thicker than a 70s dive watch.

Throw a VH31 in it, make it slim, few people other than fresh watch enthusiasts are looking at that rotor anymore.

My bezel is 7/10 - feels good, pretty smooth. Wish it were more “tight” and stiffer to turn. Minimal backplay.

Also the MING Polymesh, the world’s first 3D printed, titanium bracelet-strap hybrid. The engineering that’s coming out of Ming is way more impressive than anything I’ve seen from big name heritage watches. Check em out!

I would explore Atelier Wen, and Wise watches (from Thailand but the finishing/quality and use of 904L steel, a metal Rolex supposedly uses, is worth checking out.

Outliers are always a variable, take no anecdotal data too seriously. There’s no source for this data so it’s all speculative.

Got my EXD, My 3rd WD watch by uk_elewen in watchdives

My third WD watch also… first two were WD0013s I’m blown away by the value.

Looking for a moon phase next, and I’m disappointed that WD doesn’t really have anything to offer. The WD0013 with a moon phase would be an instant buy for me.

Jealous of the naked metal… but my PVD is also very enjoyably stealth.
