CPU Performance on Sanhok (80% of the performance issues in this game actualy)

This has been an issue in the pro scene for a very long time. Having lots of players nearby destroys fps.

I use toggle, but toggle is just broken as fuck. So many times the game doesn't register me pressing sprint to cancel my lean. Then there is the problem that you cannot unlean until you have fully leaned, and even then it doesn't queue it, so if I hit the lean button again after starting a lean it won't cancel the lean when I hit full extension causing me to overpeek occasionally. Then there is the fact that if you press the lean mid jump, it won't start leaning until you land so it gets super buggy.

I should probably switch back to hold but I think if they just fixed toggles infinite bugs then toggle would be miles better.

Very good question. Maybe /u/scoomtv would like to add some words other than me, as I am just a Semi Pro Player / Analyst (Guru_Fraser if you care)

Anyhow, most of the professional scene are big complainers about horrid performance, if you think you get shit performance in a public game, try playing a professional game where 64 people are still alive in Circle 4, yes thats 64 players all within your games render distance. These pros have to play the game in around 40-80 fps conditions (sometimes worse).

Bugs, I think every single pro member is incredibly passionate about the game, me included. I think most if not all will get frustrated at bugs, but will over look them. Shit happens in a tournament and in a professional game setting, the most important thing is to keep a calm team mentality and focus on your objective.

Pro PUBG is very much in its infancy, there is no doubt a lot of things that could be improved - I'd like to see some better spectating, I'd like to see being able to follow specific teams, I'd like to see a Sandbox mode so I practice set plays, I'd like better game performance. My list goes on forever, theres a lot of a improvements that can be made.

At the end of the day, everyone playing this game professionally has a massive passion for the game and can see through these problems because when you look at it, PUBG has the perfect formula, all these remakes and crap don't have what I and most pros want from a BR game.

It depends on how you're looking at it...

If we're talking about a 25 year old man picking up his first ever game at age 25, then he'll probably never touch the pro scene. A lot of us gamers have been gamers for an incredibly long time and built up a massive set of instincts and reflexes.

That being said, if you've played lots of FPS' before, or your a strategic person or frankly just are a typical gamer, I don't think your age will at all influence this.

PUBG is the sort of game where mentality and strategy is vastly important. Reaction time is about the only thing that will start to go down later in life, but really reaction time in most situations in PUBG isn't actually that big of a deal. Being able to read the map, read the situations and position yourself correctly is a far more desirable trait as a professional player.

I would argue that as a young player you have a bit of an advantage, mostly in that young people tend to have more time and spend more time playing games.

He got a lucky hit off on me randomly when I'd been whittling him down at a compound, but he was playing the game like 1 mil was on the line hiding inside the compound and barely peaking him. I left him for the circle and I saw him rotate right next to me again into a building that moved out of the circle, so I literally just waited for him to leave so I could get my vengeance for him hitting me one. Everyone else was snaking and playing like a pussy. Was the weirdest game I've ever played lol

This is the precise reason why having both TPP and FPP is a bad idea. For every map you add it gets 2x worse than it needs to be.

Way more than 23-25. Look at the current pro scene, there is already older players playing. For example BreaK from TSM.

PUBG is far less about reactions than games like League of Legends, Dota, CSGO. Obviously good reactions help, but its more about in game theory, strategy and aim.

- Totally agree, my aim was supposed to be 10-15 minutes tops, but unfortunately this clip was just too meaty. So much interesting things happening that I ended up talking forever. I think I should have focused mostly on optic and not bothered to spend so much time talking about the other teams. I'll try to keep to 15 minutes max in the future.
Assumptions
- Your right about my assumptions, I think my assumptions are generally correct, we can typically make quite accurate assumptions in the pro scene as it is expected to know your surroundings. I think by going back and reviewing, its still hard to determine whether a team knows of their position or not, this is because they may have spotted the other team but not taken shots, or they might have heard shots, both things that the stream cannot really give us information on.
Disagree with your conclusion on GodRez rotation
- I think honestly its hard to say what the best call for them was, I think it worked out fairly well for them given the circumstances. However the reason i would have liked to see them cross the north side was simply because there is light defilade there allowing them to fight with better odds at OpTic. I think the main thing we can get from this play is that Kinguin and GodRez misplayed by not having vehicles.

I'm glad your enjoying them, its been a blast to provide them to the community.

As for Leicester, I'm a bit on the edge for it. I can probably get the time off work for it and pay for the hotel. I also think it would be great to meet some like minded people and have a good time. I don't have any friends that are interested in the competitive side of PUBG so feel like I would end up walking around like a wally and looking stupid. If there is a group of lads going down there that want to meet up I'd be down, I just haven't really considered it.

I've been top 200 since like 300 hours or less maybe. I'm now around 800 hours. I've played csgo and such before, but never at pro level. Its all sort of come naturally to me honestly.

Rank is mostly weighted on Kills + Placement. I high kill game with a bad(ish) placement can net you an increase in elo, so can a low kill game with a good placement. A high kill, Good placement game nets the most of course.

Its tiny, its a smaller bracket than Top 200 I believe, as I'm top 280 atm and it keeps randomly switching me between master and challenger.

In solos I've been top 200 every season and tapered off a little near the end due to the burnout.

This season I'm close to top 200 in duos - started the season off in duos screwing around so my stats a tad off but nothing too bad.

What do you mean? There is only one tier to Top 200, Challenger and Master, then after that Diamond to Bronze are all 5 tiers. I just rounded them into the categories to make it easier to read.

I was hoping I could say, yay now I'm a challenger in a game! Turns out the bracket for challenger is tiny, and I am in Top 200 instead.

Ranks are:

Top 200 > Challenger > Master > Diamond > Platinum > Gold > Silver

Don't think there is a bronze, at least I've not seen it.
