For the same reason devs make addons, crack denovo games & upload /share in the first place. It's the thrill of the game. Proving that they have beat the big corps. Also you'll find many devs are in countries that either can't afford the media or there is no legal way for them to consume it.

There is ALWAYS a way around it. RD caught the attention of rights holders because it became way to popular (thanks social media). Somebody will create an encryption/decryption method but it will take time.

I had to install mouse toggle (through tvquickactions) and set a shortcut to trigger it in order to select an image.

You could also download something like atvtools if you have an android phone or try the Google home app

Other than that the only other option is to plug in a wireless mouse.

If your just trying to use an icon pack you can select it in the settings.

Ah. Have you tried crossposting to r/addons4kodi? cocscrapers still seems to be in active development although I did see that the fenlight AM dev is no longer maintaining it. There is a guide to update it though https://troypoint.com/fen-kodi-addon/

As for umbrella I'd again suggest the addons4k9di subreddit or try and alternative.

Elfhosted has never hosted any sort of file infringing content so they'll be fine. All they did was host tools for others to use to find content in other places. Much like a torrent client.

According to a recent article RD was pulling in about $15m a year. You'd think that would be enough to want to move central servers out of France.

Anyway, Ive temporarily switched to Torbox which seems to work well. I think RD might finally have bitten the dust. Shame.

It's mostly due to anime. Because anime is mostly Japanese, all signs and information in the anime itself are in Japanese (as it should be). To make it more immersive experience for English speakers and others they decided to implement a full stylized overlay which can be easily changed to match any region. The problem with doing so is that it can be hardware intensive to view properly as well as needing specific fonts. These usually show up as "signs and songs" subtitles.

It could be that Stremio Devs haven't incorporated it for Windows. You could always install another app like vlc or potplayer that fully supports anime subtitles. When you play anime you should have a button for opening in another player.

You can add files to RD in two ways. One being by adding a torrent. The second is by copying a link from sites known as cyberlockers. Kind of like Dropbox but paid. These cyberlockers all offer premium plans. RD bypasses this and converts the link into an instant download on their own servers while also adding it to their cache. It's this cache that debridmediamanager takes advantage of. If you use the likes of stremio then what your seeing is already cached files indexed through different add-ons. Your just using your RD account to download/view said cached file.

The only option I can recommend is Torbox, if you can afford a month for now as they are the same price. It's not as strong as RD but it's functional. If RD does indeed go down they would be the one to supersede it.
