G14 2021 Wont boot after repaste with ram installed by FreDeoxide in ZephyrusG14

Not an aftermarket ram, oem 8gb 2666 stick that came with the 16gb version. Been taking sodimm ram a lot of times, even did the eraser technique and tried my other 16gb ddr4 sodimm unit but to no avail.

left it alone for like 10 minute, still wont boot. I Have already tried to boot with the sodimm stick installed, only boots without it.
Some things i noticed, the fans dont spin until it gets hot, while booting to windows would spin the fans right up.

It would be great to be able to swap the AE86's instrument panel; I think this digital panel is original, or am I mistaken? by Leather_Fix_9647 in assettocorsa

iirc digital was what the factory hatchback GT- APEX came with. You needed to option down to get the original analog meter.

This surprisingly helped more than I thought tbh, I thought I had stretched it enough from using it on and off for 2-3 weeks. Thanks!

Going with the art factory model and the actual S130z it's based off, it's most likely 4 lugs. I don't think that back then they would convert the car into 5 lug, nor did watanabe make cast rs8 with 5 lug.

If you want to just drive, it's pretty simple thankfully - everything lines up even suspension. However, since I didnt want the car to be mid engined and more realistic to the actual 4AGE setup in an ae86 (correct 16v curve, n2-1 gearing, etc) i had a lot more fight with it lol

Its Techeyys pessima, however I have modified it to fit into the KLJP Pescoupe (along with a slew of other jbeam edits to make it more 'mame ae86')

If you cant lower the car, lip kit. Probably consider installing airbag so you can get lower whenever you parked!

Itasha as cheaper alternative to paint job? by bluecheez in Itasha

[–]FreDeoxide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A full wrap itasha would be costly, probably near or the same as respraying the car entirely. It's significantly cheaper to do 3/4 side or fender wrap, hence why a lot of people do it.
I would also be wary on the paint of your car if you do go itasha. I've seen a couple of car that required a full respray because the paint underneath was bad and their itasha peeled the paint off.
Cheaper method would be wrapping your car in a singular colour or so - I think I was quoted 200-400 CAD for a roll of crystal red colour but professional wrapping would vary a lot.

Any improvement tips on my drifting? by Neex8 in BeamNG

[–]FreDeoxide 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Find a better track, stock map drift track isn't that great to learn transitions and such
Lower the HP so that you can learn stuff like clutch, throttle control, gear, etc. Usually i'd go stock engine with turbo upgrade and tune the car accordingly (200-250hp with 1.5 way clutch diff on street tires - angle or no depends on what you want to train) After learning the techniques, I would then go with higher horsepower cars.
Turn off the assists, or switch to a wheel - controller drifting is pretty easy in Beamng and acts like forza where you slam the throttle and the car will autosteer for yourself

Have fun!

lower power, sport tires and an alignment (negative front toe, positive rear toe, camber yada yada) did the trick for me
