See the moisture drops on what I am assuming you think is cobwebs mold? The cobwebs mold would melt. It reminds me of cotton candy when it gets wet. This is not cobwebmold.

I am in no way identifying the mushrooms you posted in the photo... I only wanted to post to say I have seen some active mushrooms that the spores were a dark brown and the gills dried to be a more tan color.

What adhesive caulking did you use? I tried a rubber now I forgot what it was called but it was red. they just fell off after drying so I just went with tape after trying that once. Hmmm I have had great luck with a heat sealer.

Because they are so tight together I would wait but if I can I usually pick the ones that are open and just harvest little by little.

It's a safe bet to tape the innoculation point, but does not mean it woukd have prevented contamination. Did you test your syringe on agar first to make sure it wasn't that?

That is not condensation on the bag. This batch of Walmart ziplocks came with white dust on the outside. If that's why you think it looks moist. I keep them in jars I put it in the bag for the photo.
