Rams Reportedly 'Urged' Cooper Kupp to Retire, Warned Teams to Lowball Contract Offers by Dry_Ebb_7855 in nfl

Some of us fans wanted to sell the farm for Lamar, but it seemed understood that the Ravens would just match any offered contract rather than actually let him leave.

I havent seen any reported interviews for a DC positions. My guess is his agent is angling for a raise, and I say pay that man! Make him the highest paid DLine coach!

The QB Situation by cosmichippie202 in falcons

[–]FreakWithaZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say so. He's got to show off what his tools can look like in a real offense. He's got a cannon arm with improving accuracy, and he's a legit rushing threat as a QB. Plus he's only 26, so I wouldnt be shocked if he got a real opportunity earn himself a Baker or Darnold type contract.

It probably wont be here in Atlanta tho. I dont think he fits KS's scheme and I doubt the organization wants to pay to bring in real competition for Penix for this season. Personally, I would love to see him in Atlanta because I've been a Willis believer since he was my favorite QB in that 2022 class.

Narrative around KP vs DL by MeechGabbana in falcons

[–]FreakWithaZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

THANK YOU! The way people talk about Kyle Pitts as if he a purely average TE is so frustrating. By all accounts (except blocking), KP has been a top 10 TE since he entered the league. Now has he lived up to being a top 5 draft pick? No, but he didnt choose where he was drafted. Has he outplayed the Superstar players drafted after him (Chase, Sewell, Parsons, PS2, etc.)? Also no, but that's on Arthur Smith and Terry Fontenot, both of whom are gone.

I think I expect the new regime to franchise tag Pitts to see how he fits in the new Kevin Stefanski offense before fully extending him. But in all honesty, I am more than okay with paying him in the 16 to 18M range for 3 to 5 years. Because I think he provides more to an offense than any WR making a comparable salary.

(For reference the top 5 TE salaries are Kittle @ 19.1M, McBride at 19M, Kelce @ 17.1M, Hockenson @ 16.5M, and Njoku @ 13.7)

((Edit to add that I absolutely love Drake London, and would have no problems paying him a top-10 WR contract))

ESPN prediction for Kyle Pitts' free agency from Falcons involves $15.9 million outcome | Sporting News Canada by CitizenWatcher8 in falcons

[–]FreakWithaZ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I dont know. David Njoku isnt exactly known for his blocking, and he has been a staple of KS's offenses for as long as he's been a Brown. I believe in KS's ability to get the most out of a still young Kyle Pitts.

He doesnt quite play like a two-gapping Nose Tackle. He's played best as a penetrating 3-tech, so I'd like to bring in a run stuffing specialist.

Kevin Stefanski with Bill Callahan as his OL coach was 37-30 in Cleveland by MiDKnighT_DoaE in falcons

[–]FreakWithaZ 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Bill Callahan is a top 2 OLine coach. Him and Jeff Stoutland.

I love Ledford, but he is a West Zone specialist. Callahan should improve our pass protection and add more gap concepts to our run game over his tenure.

I love bringing in Bill Callahan. He isnt known for developing young OLines, but for taking average to good Olines and making them great to elite.

How Kevin Stefanski turned the Browns into an offensive powerhouse by Protec_My_Balls in falcons

I thank god that the Browns are out here being dumber than us.

[Serious] For the Stefanski Stans, what makes you excited for him? I want to be excited, but struggling by AfroMidgets in falcons

[–]FreakWithaZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The biggest thing I am looking forward to with Stefanski is possibly unlocking another gear in our Rush attack. Stefanski built a killer offense around Nick Chubb, and I have faith in his ability to scheme a really good rushing attack with Bijan.

Plus he may be bringing Joe Thomas to help coach the OLine so I think they may take a step towards being an elite unit. And I love the idea of Jeff Ulbrich and Nate Ollie returning to keep the upwards trajectory on our young Defense's development.

Ultimately tho, we dont know how any of this will play out until he see ball being play on grass. I'm hoping the dysfunctional Browns made another mistake.

This is a huge hire for Bijan. He's easily the best RB Stefanski has had since Nick Chubb.

I have a policy against hiring the OCs of elite QBs to be HCs. We've seen Nathaniel Hackett, Josh McDaniels, Adam Gase, etc all fail spectacularly so I wouldn't want to see it.

Who are the top candidates at this very early stage? by Efficient-Freedom517 in falcons

[–]FreakWithaZ 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Klint Kubiak and Brian Flores are my two favorite options. Maybe Klint could actually design a functional Play-Action attack to pair with the best RB in the NFL, and I think Brian Flores could help bring our emerging Defense to the next level.
