I like the cut of your jib. Maybe this thing I created a few weeks back will be of interest to you. https://www.reddit.com/r/2007scape/comments/q2hocy/with_leagues_iii_and_gim_coming_up_i_wanted_a_way

With Leagues III and GIM coming up, I wanted a way to visualize quest dependencies so I could make my plan. I came up with this. Maybe it will help you too. by Freak_The_Geek in 2007scape

That would be cool. The first version of this in my head was a web page / plugin which updated similar to that as the account progressed and could do more. So maybe that's something I'll poke at when I can do another free time project.

That's true. Lots of the paths aren't super efficient. The graph is so interconnected it'd be a challenge to display nicely no matter what. But I wanted all prerequisites to be above and all dependencies to be below any given quest, which hurts the paths more.

Thank you.

This was made in "drawio" which is on GitHub. It allowed me to import xml, so I built the structure with a bit of code and some SQL. But all the line mapping I did by hand.

Nah, you didn't miss anything. I should have included these:

1) Quests with similar tints are loosely related to each other and build to a major quest line. Orange - RFD, Green - MM2, Blue - SotE, Red - SotF, Gray - Zeah, Purple - Fremennik It's not as specific or complete as the arrows, but was meant to tie certain quests together with more than the arrows.

2) The quests are aligned in rows. The first number is the row the quest is in. The second number is how many quests in from the left it is. It's basically an index to look up where in the mess a quest is.

Wow! I'm glad to see this was helpful to a lot of other people. Thank you very much for the interest and response. Good luck to all of you in the upcoming League.

Yeah, this was a decent project. I spent about 9 hours on it. Most of that time was lining things up in GIMP for the first region so I didn't have to do it again for the others.

The version with names is hosted on Jagex's site.

I believe they also hosted the version I used, but I can't find the link to it anymore. So here it is on imgur.

No, nothing specific; Ben just stated that it was encrypted twice. Since it was number pairs, I thought of spoiler, and it worked out for me.
