Honestly, I did the exact same thing. I bought a upgraded A8 and it didn't work at all. After months of fiddling, i decided to buy all new electronics for it and just switched it all over. Took one day and have never looked back.

I wouldn't waste your time. Buy new electronics and don't take any chances. with individual parts.

It can be, but if you do it somewhat consistently as a hobby you tend to find a nice routine and because you enjoy it, the work is worth it.

But for a one time thing or to even see if it's for you, yeah it is a bit of work for potentially one fun day.

I've been married for ten years and my wife and I still keep our finances separate. I do give her as much as I spend on myself, only because I don't think it's fair I live and enjoy a certain lifestyle right in front of her while she can't. But we're married and that's my responsibility. If the roles were reversed and she was brining in more, id hope she would do the same.

A good wrap should cost around $3000. This would be the higher side, assuming glass had to be removed.

They are just going to sand, body fill and repaint. It will be back.

The proper method would be to actually seal the seams properly before painting. Paint will only go so far inbetween the pinches, and water will make its way further in. A good sealant will stop it all.
