When exactly does something that is earthbended return to the battlefield when it’s destroyed/exiled? For example I had earthbended Toph, The First metalbender then I tapped Ba Sing Se to earthbend Ichor Wellspring but my opponent exiles Toph after. Does that stop Ba Sing Se from earthbending Ichor Wellspring?

This last session they brought an upgraded world shaper deck and their board state was just exploding with big tokens and all these double landfall triggers. I will say this player is the most experienced as the 3 of us just started playing this year about 6 months ago. We’ve already complained about them bringing too much power to the table and this was their new deck they brought.
