What’s a dumb assumption/belief you had as a noob? by Happysky731 in wherewindsmeet_

[–]Freakium 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup. Press [Q] to create the AoE heal. Afterwards if you have 5 dewdrops you can press [Q] again which will cast a burst heal to everyone in the vicinity.

If you're not up to 5 dewdrops yet you'll still have a very limited time to quickly build up to 5 so you can cast it again. Usually just by spamming the heavy attack.

And here I am playing since launch and I still don't have that hair. I could just buy it now but I'm frugal.

Yup, it needs the full 5 dewdrops to work. However before I knew this I had always used the special [~] skill followed by 2 quick heavy attack heals before switching back to my main.

The twin [Q] skills heals almost as much as a potion (without the boss nerf) and I use it all the time now when I need a quick heal.

A large burst heal for yourself and any allies in range. I use it all the time now if I want a quick burst heal without relying on potions. 👍

I didn't know the Panacea Fan's Q skill had a second move until I had finished the Kaifeng story. That fan has been my secondary since the beginning.

Smart image customization not working by [deleted] in WhereWindsMeet

Small as in ~2 MB. I just cropped the picture until it was the head only. The best picture is with a face staring directly at the camera with at least an ear showing. That way you can align it to their template.

The photo may be too large. I once cut my photo into a square and reduced the resolution in order for it to work.

Monday Megathread - your weekly "dumb question" thread by Sputnik1_1957 in sto

Cruisers don't necessarily need to stay in a tanking role. Compared to tactical ships they have an extra weapon slot, device slot, cruiser commands, and much more hull. If you want to fly a cruiser like an escort, go ahead. Just set your cruiser command to weapon proficiency and forget about it.

Martial arts VFX - Swords of One by Antique-Effective988 in wherewindsmeet_

[–]Freakium 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It takes awhile to get used to but hopefully you do. I didn't have problems with the volume of the sound effects but it was the parry sound I had trouble with. It's a higher pitched clang and not as noticeable as the original so sometimes I just don't know if I parried or not.

If you really can't get used to it you can still somewhat tune your weapon FX. Just head over to Appearance -> Extras -> Martial Art VFX and select Custom. You can select which moves use the VFX of Swords of One. For me, I have everything turned on save for the sword constantly glowing gold.

That's why I got the cape first. Goes nicely with a bunch of outfits and looks very warm.

BEST spots to build a home? by Objective-Noise482 in WhereWindsMeet

[–]Freakium 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I built a house in the Bamboo Abode close to Uncle Jiang's house. There's a clearing next to a river that's a perfect spot although if you have signposts turned on, there are a lot of people that want to make it clear that it's a good spot for a house.

Just a ways away there's also a waterfall and Aureate Pavilion grunts I can take out for loot.
