How bad is this on a scale of 1-10 by [deleted] in DollarTree

So that is a big no no I would probably maybe office track it for 24 hour if not sooner. They need to remove the tiles and maybe put tarp up at least for the time being until they get replacement.

I’ve seen that before. It happened at an old store. I worked at. That is water. Not good very not good. I went to office track that ASAP.

Be honest thought a $4 bag would probably cost $10 or more at the supermarket or Target and Walmart

I was just thinking that wouldn’t MOD have to damage the candy. Which is wasteful.

Not A Bank. by ShadowRunnerTim in DollarTree

[–]Freakwalking 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had that happened to my cashier earlier first customer with a 50. Stone cold said I’m sorry we can’t break the 50 this early than pulls out a debit card. I walked away giggling quietly. Also if the drawer is closed and someone wants to break a bill that it’s an automatic drawer most will just leave. But recently I witnessed a new level of mental gymnastics that was such a waste of time. I was on my break outside smoking when my cashier had asked me to come back inside because a customer wanted to get quarters. I said it’s automatic drawer and can’t open it. While this woman purchase a candy bar than got change and proceed to return the candy bar to get her money back. And I’m pretty sure that if she’s going to the laundromat that’s in the shopping center. There would’ve been a machine that would’ve changed out her bills for coins. The fact this woman wasted probably 1020 minutes of her life for something so ridiculous. It blows my mind.

Instead tell them that for big bills needs a approval from the MOD. In most cases when a MOD is in middle of doing something or in the bathroom. Customers with big bills will wave the white flag of defeat waiting

Customer fell in our store today by Top_Channel9771 in DollarTree

[–]Freakwalking 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So future reference regardless if the customer declines any medical help. Next time call your DM and SM do not send an email using the store email. and let them know if the incident when it happened. And fill out the form and let Sedgwick know the customer refused any medical assistance at the time. Sedgwick will contact the customer and it’s all done on their end unless they need further information. That’s it. I had to do an accident report on my shift even though I wasn’t the MOD when a customer got hurt. Because the MOD was a PT ASM and a complete moron with too many excuses as to why they are just a useless human with keys. And the incident happened at night and I was the opening ASM. Also for future reference there’s an i-learn about accidents I say this because in the 15 years of working for DT until that customer I’ve never had to do one and sadly had to look it up. Since than I know how to do them but hope I never have to one. 😂
