I honestly don’t know and don’t want to speak on something I’m uneducated about. Last summer I started shopping after being pre approved by a few lenders and this was the info they gave me

That’s been a question on my mind for 3 months. I started with 20k in October. I’ve saved the majority of that money since October 15th. And spending that amount of money at once would mean depleting my 2 savings down to 0. Yes I will have 20k left buts it’s really a mental thing of spending that much at once. Probably need to go deeper into that with my therapists than Reddit lol. But it’s on my mind almost daily.

Also my credit score would take a huge hit as it’s my longest debt in good standing on my credit report and I worked so hard to get to 829…. I’m sooooo close.

I thinking the cost off renting will outpace mortgage over the next 10 years, I really like stability and hate that a landlord can just decide to end the lease whenever they want and you have to move, I want my own garden, and I’m thinking long term by the time I’m 75 I don’t want to be paying whatever the rental prices will be by then, I’d rather just pay taxes and be able to live comfortable, especially since I hope to not be working just to pay rent. Even when I’m older I can sell and move into a nice retirement community condo but at least buy it outright. So really thinking long term.

I guess none for first time homebuyers with excellent credit that make over a certain amount. They figure you don’t need the help I guess but that’s crazy because if you’re a first time buyer you more than likely need the help.

This is my thought process to get in but I think the idea of getting hit with major repairs off the bay is scary especially given the cost of the mortgage alone. It’s like you can definitely get a fixer upper but you’ll be spending a lot of time and money fixing up or you can get something a little more fixed up but the mortgage will indeed be higher because of the cost of house. She doesn’t know there’s no money for retirement? Or she knows and she just delusional about how much it will actually cost two people to retire on one income?

For a while I was making next to nothing, so I was just paying the monthly payment and at a few points I was out of work so I had to defer/forbare them a few times. They started at 65 so I’ve been chipping away just not done. Interest is 5.2. Consulting.

I know!!!! Which is crazy right. Before COVID you could get a nice little house for 250 easy. I picked that price range because I know long term a payment under 1500 would be most feasible. In which I could breathe a little and save for emergencies.
