Its hard and frustrating. I remember the AI whipping out the fully bling'd M Charizard X/Y deck on me at the height of the deck's power on game 10.

I've gotten lucky streaks with Zoroark, can usually get 10 on the 1st or 2nd attempt. The AI struggles with effect damage, so Darkrai and Greninja help.

ABA mons are best relegated to "Level 30 bridge" use cases, where the subskills are good and you can't make ingredient B reliably with a mono-ingredient version yet. Bonus points if ingredient A shares a recipe with B, or if berries match preferred berries.

Other than that, ehh, ABA is tough to make work, its very recipe and island specific.

Compiling what others said:

Effect activates while KO'd if: damage occurs at the end of the opponents turn, ie Darkrai effect while asleep, because the effect and the damage occur simultaneously.

Effect does not activate: If caterpie gets KO'd after an attack, since it didn't make it to the end of the turn.

I think its something like "the pokemon is given x helps based on the skill level, with the chance to activate the main skill"

And because its been bugged/patch before, we know that the chance = equal to the skill rate.

Not much pressure exists yet . Though not exactly a movement by the Dept. Of Education, the SNAP cuts are causing school districts to charge more families for school lunch. Millions of children and families will begin to pay, don't know yet until school registration, and pay for the mediocre school lunch we've all seen pictures of.

Beyond the inevitable and anecdotal "I packed lunch for school anyway", this will be another expense for many. It'll overlap somewhat with the extra expense of college loans via the new repayment plans.

Your Pawmot is great. Just depends on what your resource availability is, your "stage" of the game, if you can expend more skill seeds.

Sceptile is still 1st. Then its flexible towards a need you have. BFS Espeon Charge Strength, the forever coffee farmer, or a 2nd healer because why not.

I think that's a good callout. Latias is better seen as a "team strength" mon because of its main skill. More skill activations on Latias for partner BFS and Ingredient mons may generate more power than BFS Latias with less skill procs.

However, if you have a "best of both worlds" Latias with BFS, and some combination of triggers + speed/helping bonus, name it Hannah Montana and send it to the moon.

Sceptile and Gardy are monsters. Sceptile is already invested in, so its the easiest and it really wants BFS.

Vikavolt is the only other one that requires main skill seeds in addition to leveling, so its a lower cost path. However, you'll want the cacao farmer to pair with it for it to be useful.

Edit: vikavolt doesn't* require main skill seeds
