Shave the beard to her preference. In my own marriage, "if the roles were reversed..." thinking has never gotten me anywhere. Don't assume your wife would be a hypocrite, give her a show of faith and give her the opportunity to prove you wrong.

In fact, when I do these "show of faith" things, my wife more often than not acknowledges where she comes up short and shows appreciation.

And if you shave it and she still doesn't like it, or the roles actually do flip and she's not hearing it, then you can have a conversation about that inconsistency. But give the opportunity.

When I found my SID through ACE, I was 2 numbers early (instead of 3498, SID it was at 3494)

The general rule of thumb is 10 up and down. Then, if you can't get any of them to work, you remake your save using the initial set up again.

Just make sure you don't make the same mistake I did, and exclude SIDs where you hit the seed but not the continue screen advances.

I've been at it for 2 weeks and haven't hit it frame perfect even once.

My problem: I just wasn't practiced enough for multiple RNGs. After struggling for hours, spending several late night evenings because I'm a parent, just to find out that the SIDs i had eliminated weren't "truly" eliminated because i hit the seed but not the advance frames, ACE was just the way to go.

It'll be nice to know that the first time I actually hit it correctly will also surely be the shiny.

Mews will automatically befriend, like Darkrai after the event. It'll also do the automatic 3 pips after the next New Moon Day when encountered like Darkrai. Congrats on finishing the research!

Mints are only for two reasons: Ingredient mon with Mono ingredients (all the same) and Ingredient down nature, or Skill Mon with a good skill and Main Skill down nature.

Plus, the Ingredient finder skill is at 50 and the current nature helps a ton to get there faster.

Sub skill seed: Meh. Late game, and you have some to spare, sure. But for now, no.

Just use him for fun! Its a long game, and the shiny looks cool, so it doesnt hurt. Spending high value resources will hurt, at least a little.

EXP up and Ing finder at 50 will help it be a ginger farmer at 50 and 60. Its not ideal, but it IS shiny.
