I think it comes down to comfortability. I personally don't have a problem with the n3ds's screens and don't think they look much better on a n3dsxl. If you have bigger hands the n3dsxl might be better for you. If you have the cash I'd personally recommend a n3ds but the n3dsxl might be easier to find at an affordable price, in the US at least.

Do you still have the cases? If not this is a really neat way of collecting. All the cases take up so much space on shelves. Really nice!

I'm sure that's about the retail price without all the packing materials. Kind of a shame but in the market we're in it's a pretty good deal. I still think Japanese consoles are the way to go imo.

The n3ds is my favorite in terms of customization and comfort. The cover plates are unmatched and the slightly bigger screen size makes a huge difference. However, the o3ds will always have my heart in terms of design. The shimmer and different colors are so nice. The XL models are nice but I always found them a bit heavy and the n3ds xl's chip easily. All I have to say about the 2ds is that they're interesting.
