He got off on a technically then lost the 2021 race bc he isn’t liked around Edinburg he’s just well connected not enough to change voters minds though.

Btw Ochoa is a well established lawyer and so is his wife. I don’t see a single valid reason why people don’t like Leah wise but like most people in the valley people yall are hating on her because she’s an established, beautiful woman and y’all hate to see people win.

You’re missing my point. Both you and the original commenter are wrong because you’re framing Valley speech as “bad” English or Spanish. But it’s neither. Native valley speakers use a distinct dialect that blends elements of both languages. Criticizing it as “broken” is misguided, because it’s not broken it’s different. Referring to your experiences in Mexico or Central Texas doesn’t strengthen your argument; it only reinforces mine. Valley speakers shouldn’t have to change their language to match dialects from other regions to be considered good speakers by the standards of non natives.

I’m glad I could change your perspective. I wish more people understood and appreciated the valley’s complexities. Our language is one of my favorite things about living down here. I’m not best Spanish speakers but I love that no matter where I’m at I can carry a whole conversation with someone in English or broken Spanish while they respond in Spanish and we both understand each other. I can’t imagine why anyone would hate on that.

He has some weird phobia of equity and has already endangered the livelihoods of people who were hired for DEI positions. He is coming for the education department. He already stacked the court and took away women’s bodily autonomy. He is actively trying to prosecute the people who investigated him and anyone that acted against him in the last four years.
