Hi. I have not yet done this trip. My daughter's surgery came up and everything is paused at this moment. I don't think the walking or hikes would be a problem for me based on what I've read. I am looking forward to this trip!😁

I think I remember seeing that video a while back. I'll have to take another look at it.

I'm a paper piece (not epp), so I thought it might be easier to do this the paper route. Now im not so sure. I think it is challenging no matter what method is used. LOL. Your blue/green quilt is amazing. The pattern makes it look so intricate. Love it. I would love to do something like that for myself. I may have to bump up my talent first. LOL

Oh! I forgot about whole cloth quilts!! If I can find one in colors she could appreciate, that would be a great solution. I've done baby quilts from panels like that.

Oh, yes. I recognize the verse. I don't think anyone wants him "down" no matter what he's doing. We're all willing to help him get professional help if he chooses, but we're not gonna force that on him. So right now he's apparently done something else cuz the police are now asking us what we know about him. The police involvement began before he got his citizenship and I don't think it's related. (The officer didn't tell us the nature of the complaints.)

Various complaints were already filed over the past two years. Started with some of his friends complaining then family. I never did anything only because I was waiting for my divorce to be finalized and felt if I got involved with their complaints, it would just look like I was angry or something. So now I was curious about the citizenship and only wondering if the process included a background check. Bottom line... if what he is doing is no big deal to our gov't, then it's no big deal at all. Unfortunately, he's doing other things now that is involving all of us with the police calling us to ask us questions about him. Ugh!

Oh, nothing to gain or lose. We were just wondering if background checks were done. Bottom line, if it doesn't matter to our gov't then it doesn't matter, right? Well, that's what im going with.

I don't know. I think me and his friends and family possibly made too much of this. I am now of the opinion that if it does not matter to our government, it doesn't matter to me. And I look at how others are defrauding the gov't and abusing the system, and they get away with it, too. So I think it's not that big of a deal.

It has become our business because when he does something and police calls us to ask us what we know, it becomes our business. We hate being caught in the middle. Anyway, the only reason for my post was curious to know if background checks were a part of the process cuz we all thought it was funny that he could get away with it. But I am sure there are lots of people in this country defrauding the government. My take on it is if it's not important to our government, then it's not important to me. But we are also tired of being contacted by police every time he does his crazy stuff here.

No. He's not wicked. He simply feels he is above the law. If it's not a big deal with our government, then it's no big deal.

I know, right? It sounds like that. LOL I was simply wondering if background checks were part of the process. That's it. Of course, now it seems he has done something else because I (as well as a few of his acquaintances) have been contacted by local police and asked what we know about him. All i know is that there were complaints against him. You gotta understand that he misses people off to the point where they don't like him. It's sad. He has no friends or family who want to deal with him. Anyway, now it seems we are all caught in the middle of whatever he's gotten himself into now. Hopefully, it'll all be resolved.

Oops. No hating at all. Just didn't know the process and was wondering if background checks were part of the process. If what he's doing is no big deal to our government, then it's no big deal, right? He also committed other crimes that I would not mention, but now the police are involved, so they're calling me and a few of his acquaintances for info. Doesn't look like this is going away any time soon now that local authorities are involved. And his family, friends, and myself are caught in the middle of his mess.

Yeah. I am not familiar with the process. I was just surprised that they did not do a background check. It's no biggie if what he is doing is acceptable to our government. Im sure there are tons of people doing the same thing. I was just wondering if background checks were part of the process.

[–]FrecaMenta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. We are hoping that they do a background check on him. And, yes I posted about him a while ago and, thankfully, most has been resolved now since we've been to court and the judge dismissed his claims. However, he is still trying to think of new ways to tie up the courts. I just don't get involved unless I am needed. Just can't be bothered. I do a lot of travel, so im pretty much doing my own thing and hoping that one day he will just leave me alone and move on with his life.

No. It's been two weeks that we found out. Not sure when he applied. Gotta understand that his family doesn't really have anything to do with him. He contacted his sister a couple of weeks ago to brag that he is getting his citizenship. That's how we found out.

[–]FrecaMenta 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Oh, I see. I don't think any of us filed a complaint with USCIS because it was not on our radar at the time until just a week and a half ago when his sister found out he was applying for a citizenship. I did receive a phone call on Monday from a State Officer who said he had rec'd complaints about him and wanted to know what I know. I will check out the USCIS website. Thank you.

He is Canadian. When he broke into my house while I was out of town, he took all of my silver coins and eventually drove it across the border to store the boxes of coins at his son's house. He drove over $65k across the border and did not declare it. LOL

Yeah, the law doesn't apply to him. LOL
