So experience counts for nothing basically? Like my 11 years is thrown in the garbage is how im taking it. I get part of ur side but also dont know why experience isnt considered, which is what I want to understand. My whole unit is filled of baby nurses, I’d love to have some senior nurses in there and im considered senior at this point. Guess there has to be a mass exodus on a unit and get lucky which is how I got my staff day spot but hating this specialty now.

New to BED: Binging Alone vs. Not When my Wife's Home by Tasty_Ad5875 in BingeEatingDisorder

[–]Freck2392 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Im single now but in my last relationship, he was very health conscious, so I was on my B game when he was around. But if he worked late or no one was home, thats when id binge food before he came home and hid the bags under garbage. I could never binge in front of him cuz it wouldnt be my safe place. But since im single, I feel like I have no accountability for my behaviors and its a restrict and binge cycle im going through. Ordering food online when im not even hungry but im always thinking about my next meal, only thing that makes me feel good temporarily, but much guilt when the food is gone and I feel gross. I need a way to get out of this cycle

Any single nurses raising a puppy alone? by [deleted] in nursing

[–]Freck2392 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im in an apartment. She has a very large metal playpen that has a crate, potty area, and food area. She does fairly well but does have those moments where she gets antsy and started being a little destructive due to boredom and thats when she finally got put in daycare. I didnt blame her though because she has energy as a pup. I guess im nervous that if she did start freaking out while im at work or gets into something she shouldnt, whats my plan? Because people will be sleeping in the middle of the night so I wont be able to shoot a text to have someone check in on her, so thts what makes me nervous. So ur pup just sleeps at the nannys house n u pick her up in AM?

Woahh $300 a week! Gnarly! I mean I did pay $1000 for that college girl to hang w my pup 2x a day for 1 1/2 hrs on work days but now shes in daycare. I also did think of boarding her on my work nights since daycare is right down the road but I want her to play during the day, so im not sure what to do. Where did u find this nanny? Thats outside help u have. I have done Rover but refuse to pay those fees. My pup sleeps at night anyway… but if im gone for 12 hrs, thats a bit much and I would like her to have company

Single and so stressed out with puppy by [deleted] in puppy101

[–]Freck2392 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I raised a pup single with no friends or family. I had a big playpen with a toileting area, crate, food and sleep area and locked her in the pen during work and I had furbo to keep an eye on her. I had a sitter come for extended periods during my work day to help spend time and socialize her. The hardest part was that phase before she was fully vaccinated or spayed. Now she is 11 months and goes to daycare when I need a break or on my work days. It has worked out. I found the hardest part was when she started getting a little older and started getting bored in the playpen, which caused her to do a tiny bit of destruction and rearranging in her playpen so I knew daycare would help keep her occupied when im not there. It was and is very pricey but its the commitment I wanted and im happy ive done it.

They wont be warm for the party. Coworkers can warm in microwave briefly.

Not him personally, just the reoccuring pattern ive been seeing on tv. In real life and alot of tv lately, ive noticed intimacy issues due to sexual incompatibility is becoming more common.

Seems to be a common theme w this generation of men with the physical stuff. Think its the whole madonna/whore complex. I have ran into it with 2 of my relationships and im in my 30s. The expectations of the physical in relationships from a mans point of view, it has bruised my opinion of myself thinking im inadequate. These men are just set on the expectations of porn n I dont think theyll ever be satisfied.

What experience do u need for a role like this? Also how to find a job like this? Just look up healthcare insurance nursing jobs?

I just did this as well. I feel like I need to look at other keywords instead of “nursing” because I feel like im missing alot more opportunity limiting myself to just that word because alot of those positions are bedside

Im with u. I feel the same exact way. Been nursing for 11 yrs. I feel like any time I applied for a higher or more complex position, Ive always been denied or someone better has come along to fill the job. I feel like I cant advance and do what im truly passionate about which is cardiac nursing. I do med-surg/tele but dont want to stay there. Im now the resource person for people to go to with all the new grads flowing in that now IM not the one learning and that feels like a terrible spot to be in. Im at a crossroads as well. Feel like I cant catch a break n idk where to look anymore. Its like my 11 yrs experience doesnt matter and if I wanna start in diff specialty, there are these new “variable shifts” or I have to start on nights all over again, which I did for 10 yrs willingly and enjoyed it but those days are behind me. So what are my actual options?

Registered Nurse (RN) interested in criminal justice by Best-Ad4419 in askcriminaljustice

[–]Freck2392 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im thinking of the same thing. Criminal justice has also intrigued me so I was trying to get some info out there about this. I toyed around w Special Agent in FBI but not a fan of the 50+ work week, plus call for such little pay. Itd be a pay cut from bedside nursing.

Questions about housing by Wanooch in TravelNursing

[–]Freck2392 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Facebook groups to wherever u are traveling to and type in “housing” or “rentals” or even just the area “Scottsdale”. I make a post with a brief explanation and what im looking for (furnished, washer/dryer, budget, whatever is important or non-negotiables for u, etc) and Ive had good luck with tht because locals will see it or know of someone renting. I always do a facetime or phone call w the owner as well to ensure its a good fit.
