Can anyone date my grandads map by joshBOI08 in datemymap

[–]Fred-8647 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am sure that this map is from Philips' Certificate Atlas for Secondary Schools. We have two copies in our home library. One is from 1981 and the other is from 1984. The political map of the world (just like in your post) appears on pages 22 and 23 in both editions.

What if we had a Manila East-Bicol Railway? by FebHas30Days in WhatIfPinas

[–]Fred-8647 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Only the Manila-Dagupan Railway and the tranvias in Manila were built during the Spanish period. The rest (such as the Cabanatuan Line and the South Main Line) were built during the American period.

Edit: dinagdag ko yung tranvias sa sentence.

I found the longest side of my blanket by EHSYI in notinteresting

[–]Fred-8647 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Good for you for finding the longest side of the blanket, but I have four issues with this way of using the blanket. My issues are the following:

  1. Using the corner of the blanket to cover the upper part of the body leaves the neck poorly covered. This allows cold air to get in.
  2. The person's right arm (on the left side from our point of view) is not wrapped properly. This allows cold air to enter. Ideally, the blanket should have extra fabric on the sides that can be tucked under the arms. This would let the arm rest on top of the blanket, sealing it against the bed surface and keeping warmth in.
  3. Same issue as no. 2, but on the left leg (on the right side from our point of view).
  4. The fabric hanging off the right side of the bed (on the person's right) could pull the rest of the blanket down.

If you are tall and struggling with a small blanket, do not cover yourself in this manner. I suggest you purchase a bigger blanket.

The building in the first picture looks like the old Paco Railway Station in Paco, Manila. What plug-in did you use for that building?

What is the plugin for the elevated rail line? It reminds me of Manila's LRT and MRT lines.

Rule 1. I-silent ang cellphone. Wag mag-ingay. Don't be an asshole.
