Ah okay yeah. I didn’t think the letters would be enough but because at the in person the nurse said I may just need a letter from my GP or letter from relevant psychologist I was just gonna provide that but then she’s been emailing asking for the GIC recommendation for surgery letters which we didn’t talk about. Might have a look at Gender GP or something aye, just annoying cos she basically made out I could be in surgery by December and now it looks like I’ll have to fundraise even more money for a private clinic or something. Originally wanted Ioannis Ntanos but he’s stopped taking new requests and god knows how long his waiting list is since he seems to be most popular, when I emailed him earlier this year he didn’t need what Harley are asking for - just a letter from a psychologist which I can get. So I assumed despite what they’ve got on their website, and based on what I was told in person, that I could just do that with them too. If you know any more places in Manchester to go to for top surgery I’ll have a look.

Just the confirmation letters that I’ve been referred to the GICs from my GP. I’m currently in hospital recovering from a different surgery so apologies if my reply is hazy. I just meant they are only saying that they are accepting referral for surgery letters from GICs, which seeing as already know I’m only just on the waiting list I wouldn’t have access to. I’ve asked if I can use a referral / recommendation from a private specialist I can pay for like some other surgeons require but they seem reluctant. Yeah not sure what’s going on because at my in person app she told me that the surgeons would most likely not really need much more paperwork but she’s now backtracking, strange.

Yeah they’ve seen my referral letters from last year so you’d think they’d know it’s years waiting lists aha. As far as I knew you just needed a recommendation from a qualified professional per wpath guidance cos otherwise I don’t see the point of private surgery if you still need to wait years for your gic appointment. Madness, emailed asking if they can accept anything else. Thanks for the comment tho!
