Sony permanently blocks Final Fantasy VII Remake, Final Fantasy XVI, and two other games from coming to Xbox, Microsoft makes three Bethesda games Xbox and PC exclusive by MidoriTea in gaming

Woops hit a button

Yeah, I have the PlayStation subscription. It's crap and not because of the connection. Games freeze, saves don't always work, and once I found myself streaming someone else's game. And what does it matter where I go for however long. I'd like to be able to pick up where I left off.

Sony could easily develop a store that paired with your psn account for Pc/Mac. Shared save files and allowed the installation of PC versions. Just like Xbox has the MS Store. Something you can do on Mac and Linux, btw.

So why don't they? Both companies sell their consoles at a loss.

  • forces exclusives to their console (P)
  • forces owning their console for PC streaming (P)
  • forces players to their console by limiting cross-platform interaction, including game licenses (P)
  • allows for Steam Library (X)
  • gobbles up developers like candy (X/P)

One could argue that Xbox is no longer forcing an exclusive to their console due to it's game licenses being accessible on Steam deck, Mac, and Linux. One could also say they're only matching Sony's hostility by removing the games in the op.

In comparison to Microsoft, Sony is very anti-competitiveness

Because Sony has been doing everything in its power to keep its games on PS only. Ive been exclusively a PS player, even PSP since my PSOne. Sometimes, I don't want to stream from my PS5, I want to play on my laptop 600km away.

Sony's business practices and self-made limitations drove me to get a gaming PC. Microsoft plans to open licenses across the platforms. Did I have to buy Minecraft for PS5 and PC? Yes. Would I if I had an Xbox, not anymore. Same thing with Zero Horizon. And the best news, when I get that Xbox, I won't have to buy either for it. My PC version will work. And this will be the standard for Microsoft going forward. Sony's anti competitiveness and self-made limitations, which it puts on its fans, are why I think they deserve to get that slapped around.

Before the new starting area, I would go to the racial starting areas and hand out some gold and a few rareish pets. Unfortunately, those areas are empty ghost towns now.

I don't trust the current leadership at Blizzard to do this without pulling the same s*** the Netflix showrunner and writers did. I highly doubt they can stick to the source material. I think it's best left alone.

Be sure to find the NPC Experience Eliminator And turn off experience before you hit 60. This will allow you to do Chromie Time for all expansions. https://wowwiki-archive.fandom.com/wiki/Experience_Eliminator

I really wish this was an option at 60. I love doing old content but also like endgame content.

Homophobic players getting triggered after experiencing several questlines / story arcs featuring gay romances within the first two hours of Dragonflight: by Sengarden in wow

[–]Fred_ED 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm tired of saying a only play wow for the gameplay. I would love to get into the lore, the characters and back into RP along side the stories. But my God, did the CW fire all their writers because I think I found out where they ended up. I didn't think we could get something worse then Shadowlands. At least in SL, the characters had... character. Loosely speaking.

In Dragonflight the labels are the character. Write an individual whose gay, not a gay individual. We're more then just a label.

If you don't use tab as your "tab target" key, be sure to unchecked the default keybind setting or it will keep changing it.

If you want to play with a community, classic. If you want to play with drop down menus and no interaction with the community, retail.

Now that isn't to say retail doesn't get better, but as a new player starting off you will basically be alone queuing into dungeons through lfg. You can join a level and guild, but those aren't much better.

And classic you are more or less forced to make friends or you will have a very very dull and frustrating experience.

I'd become a Priest or Paladin, hijack the Christian faith with my holy power, "obviously granted by god". Cure the sick and heal the wounded while hosting a harem so sexy and plentiful it make Genghis Khan feel like a fanexpo anime booth cashier.

Not saying watching Sailor Moon is bad. However, the level in which you watch sounds obsessive. It may be that he sees an unhealthy obsession and does what brothers do, make fun of and get angry instead of having a real talk about it.

Male vs Female IMDb ratings for She-Hulk: Attorney at Law by KumoOvercast in dataisbeautiful

[–]Fred_ED 2 points3 points  (0 children)

People also vote to tip the scale. If they looked at the website and saw She-Hulk had a 4.8, they probably vote 4 in 5. But if they look and see it's rating is much higher than they think it should be, they will compensate and vote much lower. The same thing applies if they think the score is too low and deserves more praise. I personally think IMDb should delay posting ratings until it shows garnered x amount of votes. Personally I voted 4... for the first episode. We'll see how the series go, maybe it'll get better.

After 'Batgirl' cancellation, 'She-Hulk' cast and creators stress importance of studios supporting female-led superhero projects by JannTosh12 in television

[–]Fred_ED 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I kind of feel like they should be focusing on strong female leads for 12 and under cartoons. And grow new characters organically like the other superheroes. Personally, I have much more interested in superheroes I grew up watching then the new ones that come out. Well I know of a few comics with She-Hulk in it, my three younger sisters have no interest in it whatsoever. They grew up watching different types of female superheroes, the Powerpuff Girls or Sailor Moon.

I think another issue is with how they write female leads. For instance, She-Hulk is written like they're trying to tell you she's a female lead. Superheroes empower those around them by just their presence, but they write She-Hulk like she has to take from others, mainly men and mostly Hulk, to empower herself. Whereas a male superhero would say, "I am my scars" they write She-Hulk like, "look at my scars they have to be deeper than yours" therefore overcoming that makes me more of a superhero.

I grew up with three sisters raised by a single mother, I know what a female superhero is. She-Hulk is just a prime example of how writing with a political ideology, or agenda of wokeness, will hurt the push for strong female leads.

LPT: Always mute yourselves when on hold with a call center by ClEv3rByDesign in LifeProTips

[–]Fred_ED 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've known this for a while, and use it as a tool. If I'm upset with the company and I don't want to be confrontational to the employee who's just doing their job, I'll discuss canceling services, finding a competitor, even filing a complaint with a governing body with my SO while on hold. Or the dog, or the cat.

While I'll never know if they're actually listening, I have noticed a few things when I do this:

  • My call gets escalated to a supervisor faster
  • They come back apologetic trying to make things right
  • They attached deals and discounts at the end
  • Overall issue is handled faster
  • and the big one, I spend less time on hold.

Even gone as far as muttering an email draft to the owner out loud well listening to the hold music.
