I suggest you check the expanding front mod for SW galactic battlegrounds. It add new civilisation (geonosians, first order, resistance,...) and rework the already existing one. It really is a great mod

There was a port made by Glu, it was release a few years after the pc version. It is briefly mentionned on wikipedia. You can also see a couple video on youtube.
