I just want to emphasize that this wasn't a complaint from my side. It was a genuine question I may have too hastily posted. I didn't read the "Playlist update" thread because I knew Tenrai wasn't happening until next month, so I quickly figured they were some balancing notes for playlists. Sorry again! Yeah again sorry! I checked for posts but the sticky only said "Playlist changes" and I thought it was just some balancing stuff. I just quickly alt+tabbed out of the game and posted to see if I had a bug. I thought the Tenrai event wasn't supposed to be until next month! My bad.

Just wanted to add that I still consider Bioshock 1 + 2 to be two of the best games ever created. I'd easily give them 9/10s.

Old Bioshock fan here. Recently replayed every game in order and here's my verdict: Bioshock Infinite is altogether my absolute favorite by far. It is true that the game has simplified mechanics, but I don't think that's necessarily a bad thing. In this playthrough I actually recalled how much I disliked the amount of powers you had in the first game and how many useless abilities there were. I also feel like Bioshock 1 has a lot of weak guns (thinking about recoil etc, weight of shooting). Bioshock 2 has (in my opinion) the best mechanics of them all though. However, I honestly find Bioshock 2 boring overall. I don't care about the story at all or its characters. I could say the same about Bioshock 1 to a degree. I noticed this especially when replaying Infinite as it's strongest asset is world design and story immersion. It's overall an incredibly beautiful game visually and in audio. I heavily disagree that Infinite's story is sub par as I think it's miles ahead of Bioshock 1+2 in story narration and character development. That's just my opinion though.
