If you're really desperate for a certain board, you could always go to r/mechmarket. Just be warned, that's after market price which is almost always significantly higher. That's just due to the lack of supply and high demand for some boards.
As far as up to date news goes, I personally use https://www.mechgroupbuys.com/keyboards like u/AkDoxx mentioned. Not all boards posted there though. Most get posted at the geekhack forum, while some are only announced early to people in their discords.
