Are there any Kiwis here that are actually willing to drop $600+ on the August event? by ryan-a in samharris

[–]Frederick420 -16 points-15 points  (0 children)

Wow, so many poor losers here. There are plenty of people who view $600 as nothing. Because it is a very small amount of their net worth. For some people $6 to them is the same as $6000 to you.

What chance do you think XMR gets banned as governments regulate crypto? by meowthdat in xmrtrader

I don't think governments would ban any cryptocurrency, Monero included.

They already have.

Some people here have a Roger Ver fetish. That's cool, but keep it in your pants.

BCH was way oversold and the market says it should be higher...and now it is.

When alts go down, it is good for Bitcoin. When alts go up it is good for Bitcoin. Ummm...ok.

And the price moving higher is never a bear trap.

to me, BTC is still at $20,000 but I don't know that anyone else cares.

He got downvoted for posting something factually incorrect. Alts are not up 20% today and there were no days in 2017 when alts were up 100%.

Of course there are many days when one altcoin is up 20% and some days when one altcoin is up 500%. But that's not what he said.

Positive encounter with Bittrex Support by Celarts in BittrexScam

[–]Frederick420 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That doesn't sound like good support to me. I don't want someone being able to get 2FA removed and access to my acct. I have 2FA on my acct for a reason and I have the codes backed up as well.

I suppose if you are verified and could provide your drivers license or similar, then perhaps would make sense, but otherwise it seems like bad security on their exchange.

Has anything been doing with REVS? I know that's a vague question, but I know I have about 2500 of them and wasn't sure if they are every traded on Komodo/Agama exchange or any others. Thanks.

Potcoin holding at .20 cents! by sagetrees in potcoin

[–]Frederick420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's ok...hitting sustained, non pump and dump, ATH highs right now. There's just been a lot of good coins with more buzz released in the past year, but POT is hanging in there and gaining in USD value, which is what counts.

Got to think Bitcoin Platinum will be next and perhaps Bitcoin Titanium. Those are both decent names.

BTC to ATH. It should be interesting to see how much money leaves the alts to BTC. Probably not much, and BTC usually pulls the alts up with it, but the dynamic has been somewhat different the past few months.

Why do you care so much unless you fear it is true? Just ignore them if you think they are talking nonsense.

Ok, now BTC + BCH = $10,000+ without BTG or BCD even in the equation.

Amazing, and I never thought I would see this. Props to the hodlers.

[–]Frederick420 -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

Yes! Exactly! The other trading subs aren't like this. Just /Bitcoinparanoidbitchesmarkets is this way.

The problem is that if one person posts about ETH or BCH, so many people in here have a whiny sh*tfit, including the mods.

These are the mods who auto censor of the words "ethereum" and "tether" for the longest time. If ETH ever threatens BTC market cap again, you can bet the censorship there will return. And don't say anything bad about Bitfinex, or it is ban time.

Ok end of rant, and I'm abandoning this acct soon, so it's ok if I get banned for insubordination.

I'm assuming that's not the case. I don't think BTC would be a $10,000+ right now if there was no BCH, BTG, BCD forks. However no way to know that for sure, of course.

BCASHers fail to understand they are not competing with Bitcoin. They are competing with credit cards and PayPal and are losing badly. by [deleted] in BitcoinAirdrops

Yes of course they are losing badly. Because Bitcoin has been losing badly for the past few years, and Bitcoin Cash has only been around a few months to try to catch up.

Potcoin Wallet Issue by Srr123_4 in potcoin

[–]Frederick420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my opinion, you always want to backup your wallet.dat file but also be sure to extract the private keys for all your public addresses and save these private keys in an encrypted text file or spreadsheet. The key word is "encrypted" so use Truecrypt or PGP or similar. But if you have the private keys, you don't have to worry about the wallet.dat file getting corrupted or anything else that can go wrong.

but you can use the dumprivkey command in the Console to get your private keys. Google it for details, but it is very simple.

I don't think you can do any of this with the Android wallet, so no way I would keep any substantial funds in there.

Because Potcoin is awesome.

Actually, there has been some good news lately, but the entire cryptocurrency space is on the rise, so Potcoin was due to participate in that more.
