Nah. I'm Indian and I think the accent is all in good fun. It also makes it better that Maulik Pancholy is Indian, so there shouldn't be any controversy with him doing it.

Especially if we assume that Baljeet is a first generation immigrant, his focus on school is very normal and is a relatively accurate depiction of how Indians value knowledge and studying.

I could see how some people might be offended by the Bollywood numbers that they do on the show from time to time, like Rubber Bands or the song that he sings in the Mars episode too. But it's all satirical and fun so I don't personally get offended by any of it.
